Bam simply needs to shut up now & go to work. Use all these snubs against Miami as fuel.

Tyler has the right idea...

If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

F**K narrative. Bam had the qualifications and performance to be in a distinct class from everyone except Gobert. Games played was the narrative that allowed voters to give it to narrative winner. Reminds me of Derrick Rose winning MVP off narrative

Narrative wins these awards. Once they realized that they couldn't give it to Draymond, They wanted to give it to a guard. Bam probably starts off as the favorite to win next year most likely.

I know and I reject it. Hate this narrative driving BS ever since the Rose MVP. That is exactly what the marcus smart DPOY is equivalent to.

Bam has already started to slip a little this season. He was beat by smalls more this year then last.

He still wins alot of battles against smalls, but to me he has clearly lost 1/4th a step.

Maybe it was just an odd year, or an odd off season, but it would not shock me if he looses some shine, not add it for next season.

I think you're trying to make your own anecdotal observations into fact. Bam has not been beat more this year. While advanced defensive metrics aren't always perfect, I would say the numbers back that statement. Bam literally held guards to a slightly lower point per possession when covered than Marcus Smart did. GUARDS.

Some years they get it right and some years its narrative. This year was narrative a 100 %. But I don't think Bam deserved it because of missed games. And if we are going to factor that less then I'd have Robert Williams win it over Bam.
I'm glad Bam is feeling slighted and I hope he uses it as a motivation. But in reality the missed games cost him consideration even though the wrong person won it.

Def disagree on the Robert Williams over Bam point, but aside from that we're generally in agreement.

Not only that but missing key shots in the 4th quarter with the game on the line. Contested jumpers and shots that cause the offense to flatline. Makes me wonder if the juice is worth the squeeze of trading the next decade of picks and more to get him

Could be, I just recall thinking that was odd when he got beat....and i recall it more then last year.

Could be all in my head, but that's how i remember it.

Just no. We shelved the bad twin, why would the good twin want to come here and tow the line? Both have attitude issues & I expect Cus will hold any grievance Kief holds.

I’d rather add pick(s) & one of our youngsters and try for Grant, PJ, Rui (in that order).

Might be reading too much but I find it odd that Jimmy acknowledges Coach Quinn more. Even in the post-game pod, he mentioned Quiin instead of Spo

Butler said he had two conversations — one Monday evening with P.J. Tucker and another Tuesday morning with Miami assistant coach Chris Quinn — about the need for him to score at a high clip against the Hawks in Game 2. Not that he avoided it in Game 1, his 21 points Sunday were right at his season average, but there was a collective feeling that Butler might need to carry the Heat’s offense in the face of fresher legs and sharper game planning on the Hawks’ side.

After Game 1, Butler expressed confidence and, more importantly, trust in Max Strus, a first-time starter who didn’t shoot well Sunday but played defense to the Heat’s standard anyway. Butler similarly praised Vincent for his two-way performance in Game 2. The more teammates Butler trusts, the less burden he feels he carries to do everything. He can do a little less of everything, which frees him up to do any one thing better.

Like shoot 3s.

“You have to have that dark side and demeanor to push other people to be better,” Lowry said. “You also have to have the talent and work ethic to do it. He shows it when he plays and when he comes to work. He’s always on time and ready to do his thing and go to battle.
