I don't think it's farfetched that he'd be able to play tonight. I've sprained my ankles so many times and sometimes days later I'd be back on the court depending on the severity. Who knows, maybe Scottie's really isn't as bad as initially thought (like he mentioned in an interview). I'd imagine with a proper professional tape job and/or ankle brace he'll manage to play through it but obviously the biggest concern is reaggravating the injury or injuring something else because of overcompensation (knock on wood).

I think it's pretty clear that the immediate diagnosis was quite good, and that the walking boot and missing game 2 was actually more precautionary than based on them finding any serious injury.

Let him sit one more game. If we win then he plays Saturday assuming there's zero pain. If we lose - oh well we aren't winning a championship this year anyways.

We can't take this type of risk during a rebuilding year. He's the franchise.
