I'm honestly split.

From a fans perspective, one of my absolute favorite players and love watching him play. If cap wasn't an issue, its not my money, pay that man whatever he wants.

From an organization perspective, I think paying him "top non QB money" is insanity. His one year isn't getting me close to paying Tyreek/Adams money. I don't even think he deserves Diggs money. 20-23 million per year is probably his "worth".

So again very split. Love to see him back, but also totally understand if we end up moving him for a nice package. Deebo thrived in Shanahans system and I don't think he would look as good outside. We also aren't as win-now as the Packers.. Trey is going to need a few years to grow, and I don't mind grabbing WRs in the draft over the next 2 years.

Unless you got back a high 1st. Say the 10th pick from the Jets. I wouldn't move him. He pretty much made their offense go. This is a huge loss for them. Aiyuk ain't that guy.

With all the draft capital the Chiefs have, more options at WR these days. A.J. Brown, Metcalf and now Debo. Nice collection of WR's along with the upcoming draft to choose from. Wow. :gossip:

Brown & Metcalf won't get dealt. Deebo would be a great replacement for Hill tho.

Metcalf doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that would want to stay in Seattle with about is what to come.

He'll sign an extension this offseason or the team will trade him next year if they can't work something out. He's not being a diva & holding out.

By week 5 he'll lose it on the field and will want the hell out of Seattle. :wizard:

#10 would be interesting. Id probably prefer that to giving him even 25 million per year. London or Williams? Sign me up.

Do the Jaguars still want another WR for Lawrence?

Id float around #33, #65, 2023 2nd + Laviska.

I think Shanahan would turn Laviska into a star. Laviska, Aiyuk, Kittle, + a 2nd round WR? Id be fine with that TBH.

I'm also higher on Aiyuk than you, clearly. He was a stud his rookie year in only 11-12 games. People sleeping on my guy and I think with the transition from Jimmy to Trey, we were going to see less from Deebo and more from Aiyuk anyways -

In the 2 games Lance started -

Aiyuk - 10 targets - 6 catches for 126 yards
Deebo - 15 targets - 6 catches for 121 yards

The first game Aiyuk was still working his way out of the dog house. I think he can be a low end #1, high end #2.

Side Note: I collect football/basketball cards. Was in LA over the weekend. Have a few nice Deebo rookies, ended up trading them away in a deal for a really nice Josh Allen rookie hahhaa. Kinda had a feeling something was going to happen, glad I sold them off before his value tanks on the Jets lol.

I love Deebo but I wouldn't pay him. He's going to get injured the way he plays. Wouldn't shock me at all if he has like 1 good year left and he's out of the league

Love Deeboo but no there is no way I would pay him $25 mill a year. He's had one stellar season but hasn't been able to stay healthy otherwise, including college. Jets have themselves a deal if they want to give us 10.

C'mon man! Pettis had one good game the end of his rookie season lol. Aiyuk had a top 3 rookie wr season, unfortunate Shanahan put him in the dog house this last start of the season. But I have faith!

Deebo to Jets for 35 & 38. The Chiefs are the other team that could jump in.

I think the Chiefs are more likely to draft a WR tbh.

I'm not going to compare the WR market to the RB market but it's getting closer. Teams are releasing they can draft elite guys in the 2nd,3rd,4th round. It's for sure not a commodity position like RB but it's trending that way which is interesting.

And yes, I'm aware the super high end guys are getting paid but I'm interested in seeing what happens over the next 50 years

That's actually a decent offer. 35 & 38 is the same value as the 14th pick. You likely won't get a better one. The compensation is fairly close to the Adams & Hill deals.
