Man, if he's healthy and playing tonight...the rest of the series is a free roll.

Long term though, this series doesn't mean much. He's got to remain healthy.

I think that not going all in on a playoff series is a dangerous road to go down. At what point does that stop? If it was the second round would you still hold him out if he wasn't 100%

Does the organization really want to message to it's players that they won't try and win at any cost in the playoffs?

It's an ankle sprain it's not like he tore his ACL.. He'll be fine.

His long term health is the cornerstone of the franchise. I get that argument with a normal player, not with a ROTY.

Yeah, if he's playing he's probably good. We have a good medical staff.

36 points, 19 assists, took the ball off the Logo at midcourt. Yeah pretty good game for a game 7 Finals.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

This isn't a torn ligament. If he can play, he will.

If the team thought there was the potential that he could aggravate the injury and potentially turn this into a long term issue he would have already been ruled out.

This is the playoffs.

Target date should be Saturday, I would be extremely surprised if he plays tonight, but you never know with the Raptors.

Wasn't Scottie at shootaround today? Of course they want to win. But you also have to see the bigger picture. They are going to do a ton of testing on Scottie. If it's okay for Scottie to be out there then he will be out there. If not, then he won't. They aren't going to send out an injured player and risk his health just to try and satisfy Raptor fan's desire to win a playoff round at the beginning of our rebuild. lol.

Any sprain/strain are little tears in the tissue. The word "tear" always sounds bad, it's all about the severity.

Walking boot was precautionary and over kill, but that's what you do with a young franchise cornerstone, you play it safe. The fact that he ditched the walking boot and engaged in some sort of practice tells me it's a grade 1 sprain.

He'll be taped up and go through all the stress tests to determine if he's playing, wouldn't surprise me if he plays.

You know Pierce was in that wheelchair because he had diarrhea and couldn't walk to the washroom right?

everyone knows that , at least thats how the story goes.

does anyone here actually think they would risk his longterm health by playing him when if wasnt ready? lol
if they believe he can play safely, he will, if not...he wont.

Scottie's health is #1 priority. Remember no one thought we would make the playoffs and no one thought Scottie would be this good in his first year. We should all be happy moving forward even if we get swept.

I'm in agreement with those who think Sat makes a lot of sense.

It gives the crowd a chance to see Scottie one more time in person.
Gives Scottie at least one more game of playoff experience, in an elimination situation, assuming we lose Wed
And gives Scottie one whole week to recover.

Not all players are equal on this roster, that's just how it is.

If there is a risk for re-injury for the future face of your 2.5 billion dollar franchise, it's not happening.

I read about Clyde when I was a young kid but seeing these stats and the YouTube as an adult, I'm in awe.
