We should go after sexton instead I don’t want to get into a bidding war for Brunson

Plus Troy said we need more scoring

Not only did he miss virtually the entire season due to injury, but he missed like 20ish games each of the 2 seasons prior. He might be best off taking the QO or a shorter contract from the Cavs in order to prove he can stay healthy. I wouldn't be opposed to offering him a cheaper contract, but the Cavs are in control. Either they are able to lock him up themselves or they decide he's not worth the risk, at which point I start to get a lil twitchy.

Sexton is a solid payer but he is one of those no defense one way types and idk how much his scoring impacts winning. I'd be interested but for something around 17-18mil/yr. At the least he could possibly be a good sixth man.

Sexton is not a sixth man he’s a starter he just don’t fit well with garland because of there height he will mash way better with Cade plus we need a guy that can get buckets

Depending on how the playoffs go he could work himself into a $120 million deal over 4 years.

Indiana is reportedly wanting to move on from Malcom Brogdon(29) and wants to make an offer to Brunson(25) to pair him in the backcourt with Haliburton.

It might get to the point where Brunson makes more than Simons.

I'd be interested in brogdon if the price is right and we can't get brunson.

Sexton can't start with Bey and Cade for our 1/2/3 and we shouldn't be asking Cade to defend the opposing team's best guard/wing each night. Bey and Sexton would both be bottom 3 defenders as starters for their position and Cade is below average defensively for a starter as well.

Starter next to Cade needs to play decent D and shoot 3s at a good % more than anything else to fit well with who else we have. It'd be different if Mikal Bridges didn't sign that extension we gave him a deal so start between Cade and Bey but we don't have that defender right now.
