It's an ankle sprain I'm sure it's not the first time he's had one. The fact that he's out of the boot tells me that it was a grade 1 sprain. He probably won't play tonight but Game 4 is very possible.

Game 4 is only possible if we win tonight.

They’re saying he’s doubtful but I think he’s a game time decision.

Have Philly guessing till the opening tip.

Would be shocked if he played tbh, I'm just glad he's fine.

You know Pierce was in that wheelchair because he had diarrhea and couldn't walk to the washroom right?

When I sprained my ankle in my teens I was a DNP for like 2 weeks lol. I also, didn't have the first class medical treatment and physio. Hoping Scottie can return this series.

Disappointed that he is not able to play tonight based on the earlier optimism, at the same time he can't be rushed so glad the team made this call.

We have won games without our full team this year, and we can do it again tonight -- if we figure something out defensively.

Scottie out tonight but based on tweets sounds like Game 4 is a possibility of his return

Really?!?! Even the most minor sprain would take a week to get back to 90% and play with a brace. Maybe if he can't play on Saturday then it's more serious than initially thought.

Have my doubts he is returning if we are down 3-0.

Need this win tonight.

4-6 weeks is broken or came down from a jump.

Stepping on someone's foot and half rolling is more of the 1-2 weeks. Embiid did step on him but it wasn't like he jumped on him and landed on his foot in an awkward position.

If we down 3-0, he's playing because it be a good experience for him in a high leverage situation

Seems like a lock for game 4 which is a week after the injury. In line with average return to play after a minor ankle sprain. Lucky to have avoided anything more serious. The poster who compared his injury to Trae Young's was spot on.

I've read earlier that an NBA player misses an average of 6 days (not games) with an ankle sprain during the regular season.

Scottie will have missed 7 for game 4.

These guys are lucky to have the best medical treatment in the world. If any one of us got a 280 pounder stepping on our ankle we’d be in rehab for 4-8 weeks.

Don't quite understand your point.
I was not expecting him to be back for tonight .. but doesn't mean I couldn't be disappointed by it, given the slight optimism of an earlier return that came out today.
