Not the healthiest WR in the league. I do admit he had one stellar season, however, there were a lot of players who had one stellar season and then pretty much flamed out (Albert Haynesworth, Josh Gordon, Braylon Edwards, Josh Norman, Peyton Hillis, etc.)

At least produce a couple more seasons of sustain excellence.

That's actually a decent offer. 35 & 38 is the same value as the 14th pick. You likely won't get a better one. The compensation is fairly close to the Adams & Hill deals.

I'd be shocked if that was the best offer. 49ers would just keep him for the next 2-3 years if it was (Franchise tag)

The Niners are posturing to make a trade, I'm quite sure.

They have confidence that they can make players great in their system. See how many skill guys at WR/RB/TE were drafted high by the 49ers. Kittle was #146, Elijah Mitchell was #194, Jauan Jennings was #217, Mostert was a special teams player.

As exciting as Deebo is, the scheme put him in the position to succeed. Shanahan can always find guys to fit in their scheme. And frankly, the scheme is going to change with Lance as the centerpiece now. A lot more power running, plus tall receivers who can block and run fast to work with Lance's cannon (and his accuracy issues).

I think they end up getting the Jets #10 and #38, perhaps having to toss back a 5th rounder (#172) to smooth it out a bit.

I'd guess they go pass rusher like Jermaine Johnson at #10 and then go hard after Christian Watkins (Trey's WR in college) if he makes it to the second round.

He'll sign an extension this offseason or the team will trade him next year if they can't work out a deal. He's not being a diva & holding out.

Spoiler:

By week 5 he'll lose it on the field and will want the hell out of Seattle. :wizard:

you need to save this kind of stuff for the bold prediction thread

I do not think Samuel will be leaving SF.

I bet Jerry makes a play for him. His kind of guy, not mine however. Plus there is no state income tax in Texas which will be to Debo's liking.

I'd be pretty nervous about paying a king's ransom for him unless you think you can copy the Niners system or if it's a team like Chiefs where Reid and Mahomes could probably find a way to maximize him. On 49ers end it works out trading him if Lance is great, but if he's a bust AND you lose Samuel?

Deebo is a great player and I love him on the 49ers but I do think his role is replaceable
