I don't want to speak too soon but yeah those were my initial thoughts too. It was nice to see a team actually pressure him correctly after the way Milwaukee refused to send bodies at him and let him dribble to his spots unimpeded last year
bucks dropped durant efficiency from elite to league average ish levels
i think they were doing somethingh right
%60 TS is league average?
Durant was terrible. But Kyrie was on his Peak Kobe mode, both team deserved the win, though, except of Durant.

i stand corrected, still dropping from elite efficiency (high single digits) to a very mortal +3% makes a big impact

What we've seen from KD this series is what he looks like when he's "only" on a normally stacked team instead of a generationally mega-stacked one. The Nets just aren't loaded enough for him. He needs three Hall of Famers around him and a Finals MVP sixth man so he can make easy shots against single coverage and be declared the best player in the world.

KD has legitimately been horrendous thru two games and is now down 0-2 with two close losses
i believe he finished 0/10 in the second half today. and more turnovers than FGM. and he's just looked generally lackluster

jesus
as a long time durant, lets call it doubter (i have never considered him as highly as many others do) i think i wouldnt go as far
he has had some great series in less than offensively stacked teams since okc days, as well as last season vs bucks
now, was his play in warriors kinda super easy mode? of course, but he still played incredibly well under those circunstances

He's had a very bad two games and needs to turn it around quick if he doesn't want to go out in the 1st round, but I'm with Falco here, KD's plenty proven as a playoff performer.
I bought a boat.

Guys its Martin...lol
You literally just have to remember last year to see how Durant plays without the Warriors, which is incredibly good.

KD was very impressive last season but at some point it's fair to question KD's performances against this type of physical defense, no? teams couldnt do this against the warriors because of the talent and the bucks definitely didnt last yr

Not all stars but youd have to be delusional to think itd be easier for these stars with handchecking and the physicality of 90s. We are straight up getting away with mugging Kd which was routine back then.
Bron would dominate any era just fine b/c he had the skill and most importantly the size/strength. Kd is just too physically weak despite his absurd skill level. Hes always been able to get pushed around and off his spots.
Alot of these inflated guards would do okay with off dribble shooting but handchecking changes that 100%

Dunno about 'getting away with' it, given he shot 20 foul shots. But we're certainly being physical, and it's been effective.

Absolutely not can't wait for the excuses this year. We have Jaylen, Horford, White. Brooklyn might not even make it out of the playin still TBD![]()

When KD and Kyrie that's bad it was still really close. Doesn't it bother you for the future of the series

No b/c Jays were bad offensively most of the game too until Jaylens 4th quarter explosion. We have a far better coaching staff, make adjustments, chemistry, and heart. There's a reason 7/8 seed will never win **** you need to build continuity if you have injury issues can't just scrap up a rotation in the last 15 games and think you're gonna beat a well oiled TEAM like us.
If anything this should be extremely worrying for Brooklyn b/c their role players played extremely well and they still choked and lost. Role players RARELY play as well as they did in a road game like that. They're not getting a road performance from their role players like that again if they even see another road game these playoffs

Re: Kevin Durant & Kyrie Irving- 21-22 Thread
It's clear the Celtics don't have what it takes.
At the end of the day, they don't have the will and mentality of a proven champion.
Defense is good and all in the regular season, but offense is king in the postseason.
When all the chips are on the line, you need a go-to scorer to close out games. That's a fact.
KD and Kyrie just happened to play badly huh.

This place is a cesspool of mindless ineptitude, mental decrepitude, and intellectual lassitude. I refuse to be sucked any deeper into this whirlpool of groupthink sewage. My opinions have been expressed. I'm going to go take a shower.
