A draft and stash option for the 1st round:

Jovic, the No. 23 prospect in the ESPN Top 100, is having a productive season in the Adriatic League for Mega Mozzart, averaging 11.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 28 minutes per game. Jovic, 18, already made his debut for the Serbian senior national team, posting 13 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a FIBA World Cup qualifying game against Slovakia in February.

The 6-foot-10 Jovic helped Serbia to a fourth-place finish in the FIBA Under-19 World Cup last summer, being named to the all-tournament team alongside projected top-five picks Chet Holmgren and Jaden Ivey, as well as presumptive 2023 No. 1 pick favorite Victor Wembanyama.

Jovic's combination of size, ballhandling, passing, dynamic shot-making, confidence and youth is intriguing to NBA scouts, drawing comparisons to oversized international guards like Danilo Gallinari and Deni Avdija. Jovic is attempting to become the first Serbian player drafted in the lottery since Darko Milicic in 2003.

Hard to gauge pre combine but Ivey, Holgrem, Smith, Banchero, Murray, Griffin, and maybe Sharpe or Mathurin are locks for the top 7. After that it gets wide open.

If you look at it that way, this is a bad draft. One of my fav prospects outside the lotto like Daniels could jump into the top 10 with how flat it gets at that point.

Also it's an exceptionally weak international and pg draft. None of each are expected top 10 depending on what you consider Banchero as.

I know nothing about this guy, but I like his speed and agility.

He could be an option in the late first if we trade back for big man depth.

A great project for the second round:

Ryan Rollins (Toledo, SG, Sophomore)

Signature strengths: Self-creation, pull-up shooting

Archetype/projected role: Reserve scorer

Buying stock in Rollins means expecting his shooting development to eventually click. Aside from his 31.1 three-point mark, he's a smooth self-creator into jumpers and drives, with Williams having drilled 65 pull-ups, shot 43.9 percent in the mid-range and converted 40.7 percent of his runners and 58.7 percent of his rim attempts.

He offers some playmaking ability (3.6 assists per game) as well, particularly in ball-screen situations (89th percentile). The big questions right now concern his spot-up three-ball and defense, areas NBA role players typically need to excel in. But Rollins, who's still 19 years old, has become an intriguing second-round option for his three-level scoring potential fueled by advanced creation, shot-making skill and tough finishing.

Thoughts on bringing in 7 foot, 300 lb Kofi Cockburn as a screener/enforcer/rebounder moving forward?

His one NBA skill is size...that's it.

If you drafted players on looks alone, then Cockburn would be going #1, as he is one of the biggest, strongest guys to come out of college in a long time.

The 7-foot, 298 lbs. center is pretty much pure muscle and looks like the kind of guy who could rip the rim off it he wanted to.

He’s a 22-year-old junior who played for a very good Illinois team this season, averaging 20.9 points, 10.6 rebounds and a block per game for the Illini.

Cockburn is one of the most interesting players in the entire draft, as he is a test case to see if an old school center will still get drafted in the NBA.

Jake Laravia was my favorite 2nd rd prospect, but he's moving closer to a 1st rounder every week. David Roddy is 6-5 250 big bruiser type that favors Tucker but with bounce and handle. We really need Schlenk to hit on the later picks like the Pels did.
