His defense is horrible, and he doesn't really do anything other than score. I feel like if you're going to trade these type of packages for someone they better be some efficiency monster who is top 20 in multiple statistical categories.

He akso seems to have Diva qualities...I'd much prefer Brunson.

Especially when you compare what it's going to cost between the two. And I get Brunson won't be free because of the S&T

Few thoughts…

Warming up to the idea of Brunson if this is really what he’s capable of in a lead role..

Mitchell is not that guy… he’s better off as a second or 3rd option on a championship team… we’d still be looking for a number 1 if we do trade for him

Jason Kidd might actually be a good coach…

He better be especially with now some guys saying the Knicks should give him a 5 year deal starting at $30 million a year. That works out to be around 5 years $180 million.

He was climbing aboard the Knicks nuts a bit last year, then jumped off.

Wasn't he making various predictions then too? Did any turn out? Asking for real, I forget. He was saying a lot of stuff and it was interesting that someone in the media actually took a pro Knicks stance, even briefly. I guess he was/is trying to build the contrarian brand.

The Nuggets are interesting. Shows how hard it is to make the final push to being really good.
They got Jokic in the 2nd round, amazing value. They had all kinds of depth at guard, had Milsap before trading and age got him, they seemed to have a good amount of talent, depth and draft capital.

Then they went all in on Porter and Gordon and their team...really isn't that good. Basically Jokic is carrying them, but it's not enough.

Feels like they churned their way into a kind of high level mediocrity. Like a lesser Jazz.

Of course, as a Knick fan I'd love if the Knicks were so "mediocre"

In other parity news, the West isn't nearly as tough as it used to be.

Don't mean to point out the obvious, but it seems to me that they truly are missing Jamal Murray. I think the series still go to the warriors, but we'd be watching a more nuanced matchup.

They’ve been exposed as a terrible team without Murray I think he was the real leader on that team!
