every.single.time.
Yes, this pretty much sums up our Knicks fans. No player is ever good enough to go after, and the 'youth' we have is always significantly overrated. It's boring and tiresome.
If we want to get better, we need better players. Our current roster is not built to win a damn thing. I honestly don't get it, but this happens year after year. Posters propose good/great players to add, but then when they realize we have to give up something to get something, the posts then move to a lot of quotes like: 'X player is not that good, X player is too old, X player doesn't fit our roster, I won't give up RJ/Obi/Quick etc. for X player.
It's too much. Bla bla bla. Same sh*t year after year. Doesn't anyone want to actually field a consistently winning team? If we don't make some significant upgrades in the offseason (i.e: Trade some of our youth for a good/great player, or multiple good/great players), we're locked into 25-35 win squads for the foreseeable future.
It's always the mixed bag of extremes. The young players suck or are great! Yet somehow, other players aren't good enough.
I don't care how the FO does it. I could care less who they trade anymore. Yeah, I don't want to see a "good" team of 7 35 year olds that sucks after 2 seasons and the team is capped out for 3 after, but besides that, don't really care which youth stay, which go, which vets might acquired, or not, who is drafted. Just, like, try to make the team good and semi sustainable (which for the Knicks is 3 years) for once.
