See this is why I compare Tatum > Luka. Notice no mention of Tatum over Luka. Tatum does so damn much more for team to win. It's like so many can not Go against the current/stream. the stream that most typical fans fall over for when someone compiles a ton of Hero ball stats. Boggles my mind really.

Tatum’s expression after hitting that 3 at 0:14 gave me goosebumps.

I don’t care how good Luka, Giannis, Ja or Embiid are this is Tatum’s league for the next 10 years, book it !

That wide open layup by Pritchard where Kyrie inexplicably leaves him alone under the basket to double JB outside 3pt line on opposite side of court …. WTF was Irving thinking? The fact that it happened as Van Gundy is asking where he went in 4th quarter makes me wonder if it was scripted jus for us Celtics fans to enjoy.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

He's entering heights, even I, one of his biggest champions going back to believing he, not Fultz, was the best player in his draft class, believed he could achieve. You know the talent is there but you can't know about the drive. Clearly he's gone on the sauce, packed on the necessary muscle, improved his strength and athleticism and is now elite. I've had him 10-12 for awhile and believed he had 8-10 potential but he's without a doubt a top 5-8 player which is crazy to me. I do think this there isn't much he can do to pass the guys ahead of him though. They're transformative talents and he's not quite there: Giannis, Embiid, Jokic, Steph. But I do think he's solidly 5th ahead of Kawhi, KD and Lebron due to age/injuries. Insane.

For those who thought JB was the better overall player, you failed to properly project the full body of work of a prime Jayson Tatum. He's only going to get better folks.
He has the chance to go down as a Top 3 Celtic right there with Russell & Bird.

he's 6'8" in shoes. No need to embellish his height. As good as he is and can become, it's highly unlikely he'll ever surpass Bird, Russell, Cousy, and Havlicek. We've been blessed to have some all-time greats. It's no slight on Tatum. These are former MVPs with multiple championships and all-NBA teams. But he'll pass the Pierce, McHale, Cowens, Jones, KG and Parish types but he'll need at least one championship to do so

The 6'8.25 measurment is from when had just turned 16 at the 2014 Durant Skills camp, he is 6'8 barefoot now according to articles from a couple of years ago plus all NBA teams were required to measure their players and list them by their shoeless heights about 2 years ago, probably 6.9.5 in shoes most sneakers add about 1.5 inches, it doesn't really matter he is really good.

"I tell the guys all the time in timeouts, especially late in games, my message is, 'Nobody plays harder than we do.'"

Jayson Tatum played like a superstar and led like a superstar in our biggest road game of the season.

While being a top 4 scorer in these playoffs. One more win but he's series MVP.

My brain is clearly missing something obvious, but trying to figure out how 2 FG, 0 3s and 2 Shooting Fouls makes up 10 points. Were they fouls on 3 attempts?

I remember a non-shooting foul in game 2 while the Nets were in the penalty so Durant got two free throws anyway. I'm guessing that's the two missing points.

EDIT: Tatum only needs to average 30 ppg if Cs sweep the playoffs to end up ahead of Tony Parker on this list.
