LOL Lakers did it.

Just didn't work for the tortured Nets/Clippers.

So who really lost here?

I don't live there but Boston is one of the best cities i've visited and i've taken in about a dozen games at Barclays....so

Well have fun going to Boston.

NYC is a world class city that rings bells world wide.

Boston is not even on the radar for most people outside of the East Coast.

No shade on NYC. I went there to film an episode of ink master and it was a lot of fun! We can enjoy one thing without putting down another.

There's only one Lebron James. KD is not that guy. Lebron is probably not that guy anymore, either. The sad part of the Nets story is what you gave up to get to this point. You guys were an exciting up and coming young team. This turned out worse than the KD/Pierce trade. Boston is still rubbing it in your faces.

What are you talking about? we were a .500 team and first round exit. that was our CEILING.

now its out floor.

Nets still have 2 stars + simmons and shooters. Harris/Curry/Mills. a real coach and some tweaking and we are a contender again next year.

the nets have never been in a better spot in their NBA history.

We are a much better team then them. more talented, deeper. Boston isnt even playing well this series.

its all coaching. Ime turned the best player in the league into a huge negative, but simply doubling him every possession and our coaches did nothing to adjust.

its not like Ime did something creative or innovative. he literally just committed to always doubling him, because he knew he struggled with it. Nash probably was unaware of it, despite seeing it up close every day. and just ignored it for 3 games.

At this point I have to respect the consistency

Lol. Yeah, they could lose by 50 next game and he would still think they were the better team. I can only laugh personally.

Next year KD & Kyrie + Simmons would be one of if not the best big 3. They cover each other weaknesses nicely:

KD: Great shooting, mediocre ball handling
Kyrie: Great scorer, great ball handling, weak defender
Simmons: Bad/none shooting, great defender, great drive

But having the best talents doesn’t mean they will be the better team against other top teams. They have excess of shooters (Harris, Mills, Curry) along with KD and Kyrie. But with only one ball you don’t need all that shooters especially when none of them can defend. They need defensive wings more than anything and a real coach. But I don’t expect getting a new coach and winning a championship after just one year of adjusting to new system.

Lets say we get a new coach.

We get a full training camp. We get back Harris, Simmons. We make some other moves.

I'm still not convinced KD/Kyrie have the commitment to win a Championship. Not with other hungry teams out there.

I think this iteration of the Nets is toast.

If we get the right coach highly possible, we have enough talent with out adding anything to compete.

Obviously with more playing time he can get within top 5 in 2-3 years and continue for top 3 within next 6-7 years. Realistically, Simmons can put Brooklyn on a map with his crafty passing and bullying ways to get to the rim. Just needs confidence but Kyrie & Griffin could provide that needed confidence to get to the next level. Feels like Embiid, Harris, Maxey did a number on his mental health but I truly believe he will let bygones be bygones and prove his worth on the court.
That's certainly a take.

That’s nonsense.

Year 1 - KD Achilles recovery.
Year 2 - LeVert/Allen/Dinwiddie & Harden trade
Year 3 - Harden trade again / mandate / Harris/Simmons injury.

Even focusing on the first two years. It clearly hasn’t even been enough time to give them a chance as a DUO to judge them like that.

Emotional decisions lead to worse outcomes. It doesn’t matter what iteration we have, it will NEVER be its full potential under Steve Nash. Stop avoiding the cancer here.

His career as a coach here is officially toast. Let’s start there and built a TEAM around KD and Kyrie. Not a SUPERTEAM.

I’m not sure why nets fans can’t admit we are losing the Harden trade overall right now and we mortgaged assets that we could’ve used and players we could’ve had right now.

Jarrett Allen would’ve made a difference out there tonight. LeVert could’ve had a role out there as a ball handler tonight. Prince has been good for Minnesota.

We should’ve never traded for that declining party clown.

Its insane that no one stands up against this. This is racist on its own. You need help Prokorov. You have a great basketball mind but youre into tunnels sometimes. The Kyrie tunnel, the everyone who even mentions Boston is racist tunnel, and currently also the we’re a good team it’s all on Nash tunnel. There is no grey in your mind. No one dares to counter you on this forum but it’s beyond madness you can keep making the statements you’re making.

Stop the cap. Boston does have a reputation and you really don’t want me to show you any cited source examples.

When exactly was the last time a major star in professional basketball said: “I’m taking my talents to Boston in free agency!”

Oh wait. They don’t. They go to LA, NY or Miami. I wonder why.

Boston is just an east coast Salt Lake City.

So you can randomly constantly call out anyone who supports the basketball team of Boston as being a racist scumbag who attends KKK meetings just because Boston’s seen as a racist city?

I’ve never been close to a racist, I’ve never been in Boston, I’m just an NBA fan who loved Paul Pierce. I dont deserve to be called what he’s calling me nor others because Boston is known as a racist city. You simply cant generalise those things. Thats exactly what racists do.

Your last point is false in itself. Boston has signed one of top free agents literally every time it's had cap space recently

Return to Brooklyn Nets
