He generally doesn't struggle against pressure defense. It's when teams completely sag off him or he is match up with a physical specimen like trae young right under the basket that he struggles the most. If anything Simmons might have disrupted Bostons defense because he would be the one perimeter player that they would treat completely differently.

Yeah but he struggles against pressure. This series has felt like a conference finals from the beginning, and there's a ton of pressure already on KD and Nash and Irving, and everyone can feel the pressure in the building. He's not built for that kind of environment. And Boston would bully him. This isn't the series for a mentally fragile baby who hasn't played in a year.

I definitely agree, but it's essentially not the Boston defense that would be giving him fits, it be his own mind and the mentla pressure he seems to build up and put himself under. As we saw, it can literally be trae young protecting the rim that has him shook.

We don't know he's faking the injury, but all my respect for this guy went down the toilet the moment it was reported he's trying to collect from Philly. As such, he's lost the benefit the doubt from me.

The next CBA negotiations will be a sight to behold.

You are right we don't know if he's faking but for the first time ever I am actually not believing a player when they say they are injured.

Can you imagine being Nash & having to deal with this guy & Kyrie? You couldn't pay me whatever he's making to do that.

So you are saying the best defense in the league wouldn't know this? Like "ooohhh how do we defend Simmons ooohhhh i'm shivering in my socks" lmao. They literally shut down the best scorer in the league but won't be able to figure out how to defend Simmons?

No, that's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is that the celtics are currently playing high intensity defense with everyone being very active at all times. However, when Simmons plays they essentially have to just take multiple steps back and chill. That can actually be difficult because you're switching being two extremes mid play. It's a non issue with a non shooter who is just a PF or C like Tristan Thompson because he doesn't really have the ball in his hands. But Simmons actually has the ball a lot. So now you have to relax abd activate that YMCA defense and once someone like KD or Kyrie gets the ball you switch right back to playoff mode. Of course, the Celtics can pull it off, but it still disrupts the momentum a bit.

Yeah, I can imagine that the pathetic excuse for a professional athlete Ben Simmons is must be grating for a true competitor like Reggie Miller.

It’s still the right move if you’re worried about him getting off on the right foot. Down 0-3 are unreal expectations for him, they shouldn’t have even flirted it.

Ben is too busy planning his next clown outfit.

Couldn't be bothered to prepare for the game.

He’ll be the scapegoat for the Nets next year when in reality only part of the problem.

Someone playing in a playoff game, provided they are not going to cause some sort of career ending injury, is "the wrong move." I never thought I'd hear that in professional sports ever, but here we are.

Either he has really bad advisors or he is just too stubborn/dumb to listen to them. The sooner he played the less people would be on him. Now the wait is another 6 months of scrutiny provided he doesnt have another "back" injury.

If this was the NFL Ben Simmons would’ve been out the league by now
Bucks tricked me into being a diehard in 2001, LeBron is the 2nd best player ever, and pizza is awesome.

It's a soft ass mentality. Even the chance of providing your team "spiritual lift" would have been commendable. I hope he fails going forward. Never said that about anyone before.

Kyrie is literally playing while fasting. Do not ever compare this bum to Kyrie.
