His mentallity is a much bigger problem than him not being able to shoot a jumpshot or FTs. You can't compete for championships with players like that in the locker room.

The Nets right now:

Simmons : Doesn't want to play and get embarrassed like the last playoffs ever again.
Kyrie : He is too smart to care about the regular season or his teammates. Doesn't need a coach either.
Durant: He doesn't care about anything, he just wants to "hoop" and Iso ball.
Drummond: He just came here for a few months and then he'll will leave and get paid from a random team.
A bunch of ring chasers who missjudged the overall strength of the Nets team.
A coach who has zero power over his players and after each loss he sucks their d***s just to avoid getting sacked.

Is Sean Marks still the GM there? Dude is a very good GM, surprised he opted to take on Benjamin Simmons for Jim Harden.

I was shocked any team would give up anything for Simmons, let alone Harden. I have to give props to Morey. Simmons is cancer to any competitive organization because you have to walk on eggshells around him and you never know when he’ll refuse to play.

I mean I absolutely think he has a weak mentality and he’s been a diva since day 1. His mentality might be related to mental health issues (that’s a hard one to unravel) or not.

Whatever’s happening in Ben Simmons head though do we really think keeping him out of game 4 is a bad choice? The dude hasn’t played in 1 year and this is a game that might actually do more harm than good for him.

Declaring that he could be available was daft. They should have managed expectations much better.

His reaction though might cause some concern to the Nets - the diva (my opinion) might be thinking the organisation is putting him in a position he stands to loose and let’s be honest last time that happened he went missing for a whole year.

I’m not defending him btw - the nets want him to play ball - literally his job. How that is perceived by Ben i dont know

I always thought having him make his debut with the team in the middle of the playoffs was a stupid idea.

Still, that he was going to play and now he's not is a pretty bad look. Between he and Kyrie (and the not insubstantial injuries KD experiences), we'll likely never see this "what if" team at full strength for any period.

Klutch really has hurted Ben asmuch as Ben has hurted himself.

What was the point of doing all this press, tweets and news for his comeback? They just make the guy look like ass when he ends not playing. The Nets never tried to create this set date, it was Ben and his own camp.

Wait for the off season tho when he gets hype from Gilbert Arenas again and Klutch release videos of him shooting 3s.

Jack Youngblood played an entire Super Bowl on a broken leg. Willis Reed and Isaiah Thomas limped up and down the court on significant leg injuries in the playoffs. Lou Gehrig played with Freaking Lou Gherig's Disease!! and Ben has a sore back... there are competitors and then there's Ben Simmons.
