If i was Durant, i would tell the front office that they need to just rule Simmons out for the rest of the season and not allow him at the games. All he is at this point is a distraction and he should stop being treated like he is part of the team when he hasnt done anything to earn it. Its like this guy is just using games as photo ops.

As I said in another thread, him playing was probably dependent on a game 3 victory. They've accepted defeat, so there is no reason to risk injury going into next season.

I know there is a lot of Simmons hate right now and I get why, but the Nets doctors were the ones that said he had a herniated disc, not him just saying so and not playing. Sometimes, the tin foil hats need to come off.

Shaq and Barkley went at him nicely by calling him a punk for bailing on his team.

He could have tried to give it his all during warm ups at least. Show his new team that he's willing to sacrifice to maybe give them a needed lift.

If he "tweaked" his back then he'd have all offseason to recover anyways. It's not like he works on his game in the offseason lol.

A distraction for us, and Embiid was able to play well despite the circus. Notice his averages after Simmons left. 33/13/4 (22 games)
