Waiving the white flag at its finest. Obviously, we checked out onto next season.

He’s on the hot seat for sure but I wouldn’t fire him.

Seems like Ben is retired from basketball but just hasn't told the Nets this.

Why would the team risk Simmons back on a series they are going to lose?

If you were up 3-0 or 2-0 then Simmons likely comes back too. Think about the context

Ok. Let’s magically say nets somehow come back and win series. Simmons still won’t come back. We seen this coming miles away since everyone expected him back shortly after the sixers march 10 game.

He just doesn’t want to play this season. He wants to hit the reset button next pre season.

It’s weird in a sense. He won’t use the mental readiness excuse but the back injury. If klutch and Simmons came out and say he’s not mentally ready to play this season. It would actually be telling the truth for once.

I’m a medical professional in Anesthesia world. Lots of pain doc friends. A lot of these epidural injections are what we call “gray” areas. If you got good medical insurance. Providers will agree to do it on you for a quick $700-800 a pop plus facility fee. Simmons can doctor shop easily finding someone to do it. And it’s not malpractice cause as I said it’s a judgment call.

You are missing the point. It's not the team but Simmons himself said he's got back soreness all of a sudden. The team was dissapointed that he could not play..

I respect some of you still trying to support Simmons, but you have to see him for what he is. He doesn't want to play. He's been stringing this thing along the whole time. It's pathetic and we saw this coming a mile away.

I'm not even mad about it. I've said he should have been shut down for the season as is.

I'm pretty much disgusted with everyone associated with this franchise so Ben can do whatever. It doesn't matter

The small bit of optimism I had for the Simmons trade working out is gone. Not that him coming back for Game 4 would matter much, but this just feels like a waste of time. This whole season feels like a waste of time.

I would not be surprised if he never plays a second for the Nets

Agreed.

No GM would’ve thought Harden and Simmons could’ve been this soft and unreliable. You can make the same argument for New Orleans with Zion.

I honestly don’t even know what to say about this dude right now.
