Erm, they had lebron james, hed won some stuff i think. Phoenix was just a young unproven team prior to last year, without a playoff appearance by almost all of their core. It happens that way very rarely.

Right, because Phoenix didn't obtain an all time great PG in CP3. You asked a question, you got it answered in a fashion that made it look bad, and now you're moving goalposts.

Comparing CP3 to Lebron is laughable first of all. Can you name another instance, that isnt a superteam, which the suns arent?

I didn't compare CP3 to Lebron. You just got caught with your hand in the cookie jar and your point was proven wrong. I'd be embarrassed too. Thanks for playing though.

I find it amusing that when people complain about refs they use stats. Like points in paint & FT disparity. How bout you specifically mention which calls were bad? Wild take I know

I know Monty mentioned the crowder reach in they challenged. Anyone got a replay of that? Watching it live it seemed the right call but I stepped out a second when I think they showed replay.

There’s nothing in the rules that say the free throw attempts need to be equal.

And of course the suns would have more points in the paint because ... Pelicans were getting fouled in the paint. Lol.

This is total nonsense, no one with any connections is saying this whatsoever.

This dude has been trying to trade Zion for two years for a ham sandwich.

Not embarrassed at all, its pretty well known teams dont typically go from having a core that hasnt made the playoffs (unlike adding Lebron, a 3 time champion who got a top 5-10 player in the league alongside him) to making the finals. Doesnt happen, unless they run into 3 straight teams that are badly injured. I stand by the point.

In general your point is true, and FTs shouldn’t necessarily be equal. The problem is that basketball is a game where the refs really could blow the whistle on every possession so it’s difficult to correctly assess every foul or non call. Just from observing it didn’t seem to me that the Suns were attacking any less than the Pels so I was pretty surprised the discrepancy was so dramatic. Could be legit, could be some home cooking

All that dancing to Youngboy in the regular season. It'd be nice if Mikal or Ayton stepped up and drove home a win.

I can't really point the finger at CP3, even if last game was a huge stinker. He went god-mode games 1 and 3. He needs some help.

I know book is out it’s not an excuse for the suns they are deep with a lot of versatile defenders.

I’ll say tho I do like the Pelicans team and they’re not terrible but suns should be easily winning.

The pelicans post CJ trade are a different team.

Suns should be killing them cj is nice but he’s not MJ. Everyone had suns in 4 and they almost lost game 3 and did lose game 2 with book there.

I still think the suns win but this isn’t looking good for them in the second round.

So your counterargument to Pelicans being underrated is to site the predictions that came from them being underrated? Interesting.

Book missed about 1/3 of game 2 and it was a close game.

Good game, Pelibros. Ingram scores at will and JV in particular is a frustrating guy to play against. I hope you guys can keep this squad together and get Zion back next year. Would be devastating.

See you Tuesday.

Bridges, Cam and co have to step up, wtf u are a 64 win team vs a 36.

Crowder is shooting 28% 6% from 3

Ayton stepped up game 3 & he wasn't bad in this one either.

Ayton has been balling tbf.

It's Mikal and Cam Johnson that need to step it up, although I'm not sure what that really looks like.

Mikal has been pedestrian on both sides of the ball, and Cam Johnson isn't hitting shots but it's not like either of them are shotcreators anyways.

Jae Crowder has been shockingly bad too.

Lost in all of the booker talk/excuses from the suns side is that the pelicans are quite literally missing their best player who pitched in 27ppg on over 60% shooting the last season he played.

I **** love BI.

I fell to my knees like a cartoon character when we didn't make this selection in 2016.

What’s even funnier is all this whining a year after they all claimed AD being out and LeBron on one leg didn’t mean anything. Karma is a bitch.

Pels are a .500 team since cj got there not like they’ve been on some miraculous turn around.

Given how his acquisition (along with others) has turned that team from being in the running for the league's worst record to one of potentially upending the league's best team record wise and long considered NBA Finals fave, what's gone on in NO has been nothing short of miraculous.
