Marks went from being an elite GM to one who you could easily argue deserves to be fired for hiring and ultimately sticking by Nash.

Nash had the worst display of “coaching” (or lack thereof) I’ve ever seen in a playoff series.

Without wholesale changes (especially replacing Steve Nash), it’ll be hard for me to commit to watching games. And this is after my viewership already declined due to the Nets never caring about the regular season and the PR disaster surrounding Kyrie, then Harden, and now Simmons.

I have no idea what I will do if I hear that the Nets are retaining Steve Nash for next season.

If Nets retains Nash ,I’m taking a year off , i limit myself to check game final scores and wait , not going to games , no tv subscriptions , no Nets related merchandise

Enough is enough

I'm still rock hard for Kyrie. Also Juventus is a terrible club that couldn't even win a one team Serie A.

Further on down the blame list, Claxton needs to shoot a hundred free throws every day in the offseason regardless of whatever jersey he wears next season. Hack-a-Clax can't become a thing for his own benefit.

It was really shocking just how bad he was these playoffs. Guess the moment just got to him. I know he isn't usually an exception FT shooter, but he was downright awful this series.

Won’t happen , he was more interested how his new tats gonna look in Cancun then practice free throws

Are we talking about practice, practice? Insert Iverson voice here

In my book 50% -60% ft shooting it’s considered poor

8% ? There is even no one in history of the game to compare him to

Either way KD is a special player and your roster needs stability. We had major issues with team chemistry for what feels like forever and when that was addressed we finally started playing great basketball.

Keep your heads up and hopefully Marks is paying attention otherwise maybe a change is necessary

I appreciate the kind words.

That being said, I don't blame Harden one bit for getting away from this sh*tshow.

KD and Kyrie don't care about winning. They don't. They just came here to "hoop" without the pressure of expectations and having to deal with actual coaching.

Yeah, I definitely think it was playoff nerves. IIRC, he shot 60%+ in March & April during the regular season. Not great, but not THIS bad.

KD gets swept and he immediately vouches for Nash in the post-game talking about how hard the season was for him.

Imagine MJ or Kobe getting swept in the first round in the prime of their careers and saying this. You can’t make this stuff up!

Nash probably will not get fired because Nets need a “reason” to fire him. He could not have predicted Kyrie not getting vaccinated, Harden demanding a trade and ultimately going out or that Ben Simmons would not play a game all season. And then KD was out for a period of time.

We know that Nash should not be a coach to begin with but for the organization, there’s too much variables in the season and they need concrete justifications to fire him.

It's glaringly obvious that there is no accountability in this franchise. Devoid of true leaders.

What playoff nerves ? With series down 0-3 and entire team quitting early ?

It’s not like it was game 7 of tight series , and instead of Soft KD he got behind angry and motivated Jordan or Kobe as a teammate

He knew if he miss those after the game they gonna pad him on the back and wish him nice vacations

There was no pressure whatsoever to shoot 1-11

Durant isn't MJ or Kobe. He's a bitch. Huge difference.

Durant is defending Nash because Nash isn't a coach like Kerr or Udoka.

I'm over all of this. I have no respect for Durant, Irving, Nash or Marks. and Joe Tsai is a fool for spending this much money on these clowns.

He shouldn’t have needed to see this series to know that. The moment we signed KD, Marks should’ve been thinking about all of the players he needs to sign to take pressure off of KD so he only needs to focus on shooting when he’s on the court.

Instead, he leaves KD to be the team’s number 1 offensive weapon as well as the the team’s main defender against opposing wings coming off of Achilles surgery!!

I’ve been saying that we’ve needed wings for years.

Marks has acted like his job was done after KD and Kyrie signed. He was so good before, but he’s been pretty mediocre since then. And when you account for him hiring Nash and selling us on the idea that he was an elite coaching prospect, it just makes Marks look even worse.

I told yall. We hitched our wagon to the wrong guys

To Kyrie, basketball is just a job. He does not care. Kyrie reminds of Derrick Coleman. Let that sink in. Whoop di damn do!!

And KD?

This clown came here to basically ride out the last years of his career. He doesn't care either.

Joe Tsai is an idiot for paying out this much money for this crap.

Have you played organized basketball?

Everyone who has can tell you there is a massive difference between shooting free throws in practice, shooting them during a live game, and shooting them during crunch time, especially if you’re not a prolific free throw shooter to begin with.

Being down 3-0 doesn’t make the art of making free throws in front of a live audience any easier.
