lebron didn't do what KD did lol

Yeah, LeBron is what made the Heat contenders and they clearly needed him to be a superstar to win.

Warriors would've been contenders with Keith Bogans at SF lol

Kevin Durant is not a leader and he proved it the last 3 years.

He just wants to hoop.

There are other guys like this too. Kawhi can't be a leader either.

Thats why Golden State was perfect for him. The culture was built.

Hopefully KD takes this as an opportunity to grow and become more of a leader for next year. He doesn't have much time left.

Lol

They were all pretty old by then

they were about what durant is now, and theyre the ones flaming him for not winning.

The bus driver comment is about what KD did when he was 28 and in his prime. Charles is saying those rings aren't the same because KD couldn't get it done in his prime in OKC and he's not getting it done in BK.

Wrong analogy. the warriors are a crew team. Durant joined in the power room with curry (mid seats), with Draymond as stroke. The team had so much power they just flew past other boats.

No bus driving is needed, just pulling together and enough power in the engine room, and a good stroke to manage the pace. It is forgotten that a lot of great pieces of that 73 win team left when Durant joined. While some were past their prime, the losses were not insignificant and at least one got a max contract. Had he stayed and developed under Curry, GS would have still been a serious contender for those 3 titles. Also, Durant worked hard to integrate under a clear coaching plan, it wasnt automatic.

Bkn lacks swing, they are not pulling together despite ample power in the engine room. Hence Durant is 'catching a crabs' occasionally, trying to do too much. Pulling with a great crew feels great. I recommend trying it some time. It takes a lot of time on the water before you start swinging and find your collective power.

Well Durant for all his amazing talent and skills that are Hof worthy will always have it on his back that he couldn’t get it done as the guy. It isn’t a knock, there are just a few people who can win as the guy for their team.

I am not sure either KD or LeBron get the fit/synergy thing, or to some extent the team thing. The approach of LeBron several times now and KD at the Nets seems to have beens to have been to just assemble the most individually talented, including some who were previously talented more than currently talented, players they could throw together and not subject the teams which result to much in the way of coaching either.

They can all do whatever they want particularly as free agents as far as I am concerned. I did tire a little at one time of some among LeBron fans seemingly being of the view that they were the arbiters of what other players were allowed to do.

Surely you can comprehend the difference between things being SIMILAR vs being the SAME.

What LBJ did was similar but it was NOT the same.

You have to be incredibly butthurt/hate LBJ or just lack some basic comprehension if you don't see how what KD was similar but not the same because it was actually a level up and more extreme than (the highlighted words are key) what LeBron did. Same is LeBron joining a record win setting team that had ALREADY won a championship and gone to back-to-back ones. That simply did not happen which makes it not the same. But they are similar in the intent to create a super team, just KD took it further by joining a pre-established championship team and let's just do simple numbers....LeBron joined TWO stars, KD joined THREE stars...even irrefutable math says that's not the same thing lol so NO it's not the same, it's similar.

All I know is if Giannis wins another ring it looks like even the media that have KD over him may start to change their tune cause they sound like they're close to doing it already. They might even start to value Giannis's two rings more than KD, Lebron's, and even Steph's.

For all their greatness, the Warriors didn't win the championship the previous year either. I don't know what you are even trying to argue anyway. No two situations are EXACTLY the same, everyone already knows that. What LeBron did was really really really bad, but KD was really really really really bad? For fans of 25+ teams who don't even have a single superstar, all these are effectively the same.

I think it's correct to say that KD joining the Warriors is similar, but not exactly the same as when Lebron joined Miami. What KD did is worse but it's not like that legitimizes what Lebron did. Both players hurt their legacies when they switched teams and both players overall didn't boost their legacies as much as they had hoped. At least Lebron partially redeemed himself. KD looks farther away from redemption.

They're not stupid, you're just in extreme self delusion.

Which is fine, it's the same way some Warrior fans will still defend Durant's decision to join them as anything other than trying to stack the deck and win meaningless championships.

Says a fan of the franchise which invented the modern super team.

Bob Myers is definitely a better GM than LeBron though..

Yes trading for stars in their 30s is what did it.

It has nothing to do with player colluding.

Example A right here folks

Not really the same thing here. Baby Chuck didn't choose to get drafted by the Sixers with those older HOF players (and if you know the whole story, he even tried to avoid getting drafted by them). Old man Chuck did ring chase, but he did so with other old men looking for one last try, not a collection of other players in their prime while he was in his prime.

Between last year and his toe being cited and now him associated with a bus this is the only thing I can think of with KD now:
