Why is no one factoring that he is doing it against the Jazz who have let guards feast on them for the last 3 years?

Remember Murray in the bubble? Memphis guards went off. Mann and Jackson went off when Kawhi got hurt and were incredibly efficient all series.

We need to see him in other series. They'll have to pay him, but looking at what he is doing against just the Jazz isn't enough considering the past Jazz series.

Our system seems to be more ideal for Brunson than New York. While Luka does dominate the ball, New York has RJ, and some of his teammates that are young & are still trying to make a name for themselves.

This would all depend on how much Cuban is willing to offer IMO. And if the other party finds the offer "respectable". Normally a family member who has multi million dollar dreams can be a distraction in negotiations.

For conversation sake, there are two teams you can S&T him to in case talks break down.

Both deals suck for Dallas but Brunson is UFA and does not owe Dallas the courtesy of a sign and trade. Same goes with the team of his destination having no obligation to help Dallas with talent.

Heh yea true but you know how it is. His dad said they were dissapointed etc, could say they were a bit offended that Mavs signed DFS but not Jalen so....It's a pride thing. If any other team offers same amount as Mavs, i think Jalen will still rather stay than leave.

I don't think this story is true (His dad wanting him to sign DFS contract).
If it was true they would've traded him before the deadline, DET was interested, and I'm sure many others would've paid (CLE absolutely would've killed to have him IMO).

Because Knicks fans and media are pushing this narrative and Brunson family having ties with the Knicks franchise. I do believe they can make a cap room if they make a trade or two.

I think the "he's not a PG" thing is overrated in today's NBA. Truth is a vast majority of the starting PGs in today's NBA are score first including many who are the top of assists (Trae, Luka, Harden, Ja, etc.).

Brunson has proven already on multiple occasions that he can run a team as a "PG" when he needs to. He averages 7.5 apg when Luka doesn't play this season. He's not just an undersized scorer anymore.

I like Brunson too. He is a nice versatile guard. He can be either a PG when Luka is on the bench or be an undersized SG. With Luka doing PG on offense, they can switch on defense so he doesn't have to guard the other team's SG. If the Mavs don't keep Luka, we will have a gaping hole on offense.

100% agree. As fans of a team that employs a wing at PG (Luka), we should know that positions and positional duties just doesn't matter as much in today's NBA as it did a decade or so ago.
