Both Aminu and Harkless are wingspan studs. Kendall Brown isn't that.

Re: 2022 Draft Prospects Thread :Bulls get 18th pick
I'm still a big fan of Liddell at 18. Someone who can come in right away and contribute on offense and defense. Great help-side defender and shot blocker for his size. Can score a bit from all 3 levels and has solid vision/passing abilities. He can either play with or behind Pat on the depth chart.
He won't be able to create for himself as his ball handling skills need improvement, but he seems like the wing version of Ayo, which I'd be very happy with at 18.

Re: 2022 Draft Prospects Thread :Bulls get 18th pick
I don't see them looking for best athlete available or even highest ranked on their board. It would be mind blowing if they drafted a guard. So the what I'm looking for is which big or wing comes in to contribute quickly off the bench rather than a project since Simonovic fills that role.
Comparing several mock drafts (and they're never very close this far out or reliable the day before the draft) not to identify specific players but to gauge how the same names fall +/- 8 slots to see who could be there at 18.
Nikola Jovic is a 6-10 PF from Serbia you take with a grain of Serbian salt that says ----a 6-10 point-forward who can score inside and out and excels at passing the rock. International Elite 15. ---------------He sounds too good to be true to fall to #18, so what's wrong with him out if 4 mocks he's 11-29
EJ Liddell 6-7 and what I like 240 pounds so he's not a lightweight -------is physical and versatile on both ends of the floor, scoring both inside and out. He appears more comfortable in the mid-range and paint which works well for his college system but raises questions in regards to his translatability to the NBA. Liddell filled up the box score and played with great effort and toughness. ------ What I like to hear is toughness and if he plays defense at his size he'd help if the Bulls continue their switching 3 drafts 18-21 and not even listed on 1
Walker Kessler 7-1 245 pounds C ----8.1 rebounds and say what 4.6 blocks per game really need to hear more 4 drafts 18-40
Kendall Brown 6-8 205 SF 6-10 wingspan the issue I see would be he's no taller than PWill and not as heavy so he's not adding size 4 drafts 17-24
Roko Prkacin 6-9 225 PF Croatia only listed on one mock I saw, says a lot about the guy who listed him 18
So at this point there doesn't seem like a conscientious to consider

I could see them drafting a SG (ie Coby replacement), but generally, BPA and position independent. Drafting for need works out a lot less than just taking the best guy...especially at 18. Somebody always slips, and you gotta be opportunistic.

He doesn't have Scottie Pippin's wingspan either. But the Bulls have to choose a player from THIS Draft. If Eason is off the Board Kendall Brown has the highest potential to be a good rotation 3 & D wing of anyone else outside of the Lottery picks. At Number #18 our chances of getting a future superstar are not that great. But Brown has tremendous upside. He doesn't turn 19 until May. He's my "hope for" pick. Who are you taking of the players likely to be available at #18??

Prkacin pulled out of last years draft after being mocked in the second round. He was injured this year, his draft stock dropped to 62 on the ESPN list and he decided to skip it again.
He’s still on some lists, tho.

Brown reminds me a lot of Lonzo at UCLA. Same athletic profile and frame. Brown has some work to do on his shot but I think form looks good much like Lonzo’s current 3.
He’s high IQ and energy on both sides of the ball and pushes the pace. He’s the SF version of Lonzo which is a very valuable archetype in this league.
He’s more guard than SF. He can’t defend traditional PFs but maybe in time will fill in like Klay and be able to do that.
I like where we are sitting at 18. One of these guys will be there. I could see AK trading the pick though too.

This won't be a draft you'll get a generational player with the top 3 picks so it'll be pretty open which makes it interesting as a potentially very good player can slip for us at 18#.I just hope AK doesn't give up this pick.

Regardless of position, I wouldn't even be looking at anyone that can't shoot.

Jovic - below the rim, not 3pt shooter? Sounds like Marko II.

Would not touch Jovic. So slow and doesn’t have the skills to make that an advantage like Slomo or Brad Miller.

Yeah, Jovic does give off that vibe of Marko where he may not be ready for higher competition. Dieng seems to have the highest ceiling out of the bunch where Gabriele can fill the need now for shooting.

Given our lack of salary space (basically, we'll be able to offer 1 guy the $6M MLE), I think AK will go back to his S&T playbook. I think he'll offer up either 18 or the POR pick to nab a guy like Boucher or Covington.

Tyrese Maxey was drafted at 21, Desmond Bane at 30, Keldon Johnson at 29, Anfernee Simons at 24, Jarrett Allen at 22, OG Anunoby at 23, Jimmy Butler at 30, etc.
I agree with you, draft BPA.

Yeah, Boucher may get around $8-$10M/yr when it comes to salary. I prefer him over Covington for length, but I'm not sure if his 3 pt shooting can be trusted. Trading the pick for even extra cash can also give them room to nab an undrafted player. But I think the safe route is to draft BPA since certain guys you may want to sign in free agency may not be available or may become expensive.

So an optimized Ousmane Dieng would be kinda like a less athletic Michael Porter Jr?

The key for #18 is drafting the best player. Don’t let a better player slip by. We need this pick to hit.
