"Who would get the farthest if they all had the same work ethic and luck" is how I read "more naturally talented?"

This thread reminded me of a similar conversation I had on this board a decade ago: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1098136#p27133648

Durant is the most. His combination of height, speed and muscle memory which accounts for shooting is unsurpassed by this group.

McGrady has the advantage over Luka.

Harden can be ruled out immediately. He's 6'5 in the tall man's sport. He's the least physically capable of the bunch.

surprised by this thread which seems to be substituting athleticism for talent. You can't tell me Luka is the least talented at basketball of this group. He is the worst athlete in terms of run fast jump high, though like Harden he's elite in some other valuable athletic attributes in terms of stop/start and physical strength.

But no way is TMac a more talented basketball player than him. That's cray. This is a skill game. Always has been, always will be. He's last in this group.

This thread is like saying Ja is more talented than Chris Paul. Nah, he's just a physical freak, but that's different from basketball talent.

Where do you think Luka's talent eclipses McGrady's, out of curiosity? Not trying to tell you you're wrong, just looking for the conversation.

So, I suppose I should have started with, what do you consider talent? There is some debate over that subject in this thread.
