PG: Season ends for the Raps

Post#1 » by will » Fri Apr 29, 2022 1:20 am

This was a fun season, dammit.

For all the jokes and the slander, there is A LOT for us to look forward to this offseason and the upcoming 2022/2023 season.

Let's keep this last Raps PG civil and refrain from the shenanigans. What's done is done now...no need to get reckless.

Be safe though, beloved (free Tax!)

It was a fun season. Time to evaluate our roster now. It’s gonna be an interesting offseason.

Expecting a jump from Scottie next year. The roster needs to be built around him.

build around scottie, siakam and achiuwa. og's role needs to be established as a 3 and d. add more shooting and explosive guard play.

From the 4th overall pick to the 5th seed in the conference & took a title contender to 6 games with an injury depleted roster.
One of the youngest teams in the league with an extremely bright future.
Raptors are a really good team and will only get better. They have arguably the best front office in the league along with one of the best coaches the game has to offer.

There's a lot of positives from this season.

Pascal, Fred, Scottie, Gary, Gary, and Precious all exceeded expectations and made significant strides in their game.

Pascal is a locked for All-NBA honors.
Fred made the all-star steam.
Scottie was the best rookie from the best draft class since '03.
Precious transformed himself into a legit 3pt threat, was arguably our best defender, & showed flashes of being a future all-star.
Trent averaged 18ppg as a 23 year old and solidified himself as one of the best 3&D guards in the game.

Yeah, I got my head held up high and so should you.

This is gonna an interesting off-season. I trust the FO to make the necessary moves to push this team over the top. We're much closer to title contention than people think.

What a great season. We were MAYBE supposed to be in contention for the play-in tournament. All of this experience is invaluable for our young core.

Looking forward to next year!

Have not watched the game, but from boxscore, it seems Harden had a good game, and I suppose we cannot contain Embiid.

Fun times, with a few lucky bounces we could've taken this team to 7 games. Hard to win against a team that's at the end of their all in run, Scottie is the real deal. Philly doubled Siakam and we didn't have the shooters to shut them down.

Let's see what Masai does this off-season

Scottish needs to either get more explosive or get his threes to be a respectable rate next year.

The siakam fvv core is unlikely to get get us past the second round. So we are realistically looking at two to three years down the line when they are either traded or contracts to be off the books to make a deeper push into the playoffs. Thats how long scotty has to build up his body and refine his skills.

Great year. 50 wins next season.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Exceeded expectation. Only regret is no one punched Embiid in the face

We really need an Alpha scorer

Terrible 2nd half of that game, great 2nd half of the season.

Ain’t even mad, I’d rather lose as a Raptors fan than win as an Embiid fan. Proud of our fans at Scotiabank Arena for showing the basketball world how much class we have, and how much love we have for our team.

In stark contrast, the Sixers and their classless fans deserve each other.

We have a bright future with Pascal, OG, Barnes, Precious, and Trent. Now we need to surround this team with consistent shooters so we never see these offensive drought ever again.

Return to Toronto Raptors
