Are the Jets the only team that does this or do other teams also do it? I love these little clips.

Jets were afraid he'd go 37, so they traded up 2 spots. Didn't give up that much. I think the Jets approach is smart, not trying to plug every hole, but getting the players they want instead. Trading up for an edge at 26 and now a RB who, maybe he would have still been there at 38, but giving up #146 isn't a big deal.

Giants liked their tiny wide receiver, and traded back twice, but he still might have been a reach. Strong and Fast for his size. I think that's a wait and see pick. Could work out.

Tough draft to be a QB. Ridder goes 74, Willis 86. Did anyone expect Willis to fall this far? I don't really know the draft, but the 2nd QB being picked at 74 seems very odd.
Go Knicks!! Go Mets!!

As for the Jets . . . just keep it entertaining.

Jets spent a considerable amount of money on two TEs this off-season. Why use a high pick on another one?

Oops - that's what I get for not following the draft up to the minute. I didn't realize they just drafted at TE.

He's a blocking TE. Running some 2 TE offenses, I guess they felt he could contribute.

I'm not going to fuss over a pick at 101.

If Gettleman made these day 2 picks he would have been killed. This draft went from exciting to meh so far. The First round was the easy picks..... I dont see the value in day 2.

Schoen is is drafting like he smarter than everyone else....He better be.

So far he reminds me of why I wanted the 49ers Guy more to be the GM. His track record is more proven on finding talent.

Hopefully they pan out, but I cam't say I liked any of the picks made today.

Hopefully he is smarter than everyone else, cause if he not.....

Conklin and Uzomah are really nice/solid vets, but limited ceilings and two year guys at most.

JD doing the thing smart GMs do when building a team for the longhaul by picking high-ceiling guys and giving them the room to develop so that by the time Conklin/Uzomah inevitably move on, the replacement is already in house with the investment cost having already been paid.

A lot of people REALLY like Ruckert's potential. He's already a good blocker, and has shown nice receiving skills despite not getting a lot of looks in the high-octane Buckeye offense.

Because Ruckert is good and the Jet TE room has sucked, like worst in the league sucked, for years?

I don't mind it.

I think the offense the Jets runs is capable of having a lot of unusual sets, so two TE's, if one is a reciever.

I also think they'll be the occasional two RB set, since Hall is damn good and Carter is pretty effective catching the ball.

Jets have 2 early 4ths tomorrow, 111 and 117

Giants have 112, 114, 146, 147, 173, 182

Both teams have 2 4th rounders, Giants have 3 5ths and a 6th. Neither team has a 7th.

Well . . . not as exciting as Day 1, but I like it for both my NY Teams. Time will tell.

Will the Giants take a QB at 112 or 114, or will they continue to plug holes?

What spots will the Jets fill now? Safety? LB? O-line depth? Another DL or Edge? Another receiver?

I'm going to give Schoen the benefit of a doubt right now until i see these kids play, but I too question why we didn't address LB/TE.

I'm not as down on the Robinson reach as others are, I think that Schoen knew a run on WR was coming and they had the guy high on their board.
