What a dropoff. I wonder if it's age or if the overall discontent with Mitchell/Gobert is just spilling over and impacting the team.
Does this discontent all go back to simply the COVID stuff?
I wonder if they would trade him for Wall. Conley would probably be a good fit, personality wise, for a young Rockets team. It would suck that he would lose a chance at a ring, but maybe they then buy him out the following year
I don't know if the Rockets would want Westbrook back for Wall but the Lakers should try and get that done.
Wall has a player option this summer which he will certainly pick up at $47 million. I don't think OKC would stretch him but they could buy him out. Wall may give back $5 million or so as he can probably make that back with another team. His agent could also see if he could get the MLE somewhere and take a buyout of $37 million or less.
I wonder if the Suns would be interested. If they could get him on the cheap it would be a nice backup guard to have and if he didn't work out we could let him go. If it did, we could use him post Paul potentially. I doubt he will be in the market for a big contract so he might be reasonable.
As I've mentioned multiple times, I think they might be more interested in someone like Tyus Jones though since they won't be able to spend a lot on a PG with the cost of our core if we keep Ayton.
