Portland can put a PF and a wing next to Dame:

Lillard/Simons/Cam/Obi/Nurkic.

Still have 2 draft picks (#11 & #15) to select or trade for depth. Athletic enough to compete, young enough to pivot if Lillard wants out. If they would like some veteran presence, expand the deal to include any of (Rose/Burks/Fournier/Noel) in exchange for Bledsoe.

If the Knicks can get Brunson and keep Mitch, then

Brunson/Rose/McBride
Sharpe/Grimes
RJ/Fournier
Randle/Sims/Taj
Mitch/Noel

Package Quickley/Burkes for a late pick.

My god, 3 lotto picks to move up 5 places

Thank god you arent the GM

It's funny you say this "DrCoach", because it's the COACH who has minimized the value of these kids. Don't blame me. I think they are talented but I'm not coaching the team. He's torpedoing their value. You should be upset with everything that has the word coach in it. You think other teams see Obi's value as an 8th overall pick or a backup PF who can't even beat out a terrible Julius Randle for a starting gig? That's how our coach sees him. Or the #10 pick who couldn't start for Atlanta and wasn't good enough to bump Fournier from the starting lineup (slide RJ to the 2 and insert Cam at the 3)? Maybe you don't understand how the league, AND the very organization you root for values a disappointing (in their eyes) #10 pick, a disappointing (in their eyes) #8 pick, and a #12 overall pick this year that puts us well out of position for an impact player at a position we need. So I make an attempt to consolidate Thib's disappointments, who he will continue to disrespect, to get a potential gem. Again, this was IF Shaedon Sharpe was available. Do you think other GM's would see Obi Cam and #12 for the #6 as overpay? I certainly don't. They probably laugh at us. So don't thank God I am not the GM. Realize your front office gave contracts to bad players and now thinks Brunson is going to tame Julius and get him back to form.

Show me a trade where 3 lotto picks were traded to move up 5 spots for a non- top 5 pick

Again, I said if Sharpe was there, and there is consensus that he is a top 5 talent. But, once again, our coach has landed us in uncharted territory. He played 2 lotto picks behind inferior players. Cam is going into the back end of his rookie deal and there is no indication Thibs is going to find a spot in the starting lineup for him. Does that sound like #10 pick value? Obi outplayed Randle this year. Maybe it's because Randle slacked off or maybe, given the minutes Obi would be an impact player. We'll never know because, again, no indication Knicks are moving Randle. You think the league views that as #8 value player? So what, realistically are you expecting value wise from either. My process was to 1.) replenish the value by converting them into a rookie 2.) attempt to steal a top tier talent 3.) unclog some of the roster glut and 4.) motivate Randle to play by getting another Kentucky product (someone he could work that fake -Fournier-2-man game with). Either way, your perception of what lotto picks are is VERY different than what the league will view Obi and Cam as. They are likely viewed as enough to keep you in the conversation about moving up 5 or 6 spots in the draft.

I like where your heads at but if anything I don't see the Blazers doing that deal for more unproven youth when Lilard seems to want to win. If anything, it's established talent the Blazers would want and I'm looking at this more as a Randle and pick 11 for whatever they'll spare and pick 6.

Now I'm folding Sharpe into a youth movement.

Jordan has the highest leap but I wonder how much of that was functional. Cause VC has a 43inch vert 5 inches less, but aint no way in hell He got up higher than Vince in game. From what I saw Sharpe doesn't get higher than VC in game either.

You're right, that Jordan vertical isn't real, he never had it officially tested by any credible source. The highest vertical on record at the NBA combine was Keon Johnson at 48". I doubt Sharpe has a 49" vertical too.

Second highest ever is our own Jericho at 44".

DJ Stephens also had a 46" vertical in a private test that Chad Ford saw, he's the same height as Jordan. This is what a 46" vertical looks like on someone Jordans height.

We did win the dunk contest! That was our championship this year

Denis Smith Jr could dunk until he gained 20 lbs eating bo-berry biscuits and sweet tea in the off-season and threw his back out

Please do my Rep on Misses is better than the knicks Drafting record.

I loved Mikal, loved Haliburton, and was advocating they move up for Franz Wagner!

I was able to predict IQ and Miles Mcbride being drafted too.....

If they just made me the GM :banghead: we could be styling on fools :nonono:

I don’t know

No one in this draft has wowed me and it’s a shallow. Especially for the Knicks that are always a win now team because they need to sell tickets.

I legit think outside of Banchero most of them mock to be high level roleplayers. Banchero has definite all star upside offensively. By the time the Knicks get to 11 they should have used assets to move up to 8 or even 9 to get the guy they want. He other top 4 (Jabari, Ivey, and Chet are good pieces though)

I like Sochan, Dyson Daniels, Kendall Brown, Johnny Davis, Tari Eason, and Mathurin. Gun to my head I think Sochan and Davis have the best shot of being starter level, maybe all stars. Sochan offensive game is rough, but he is a physical force. Davis reminds me of Jordan Clarkson aka a sixth man. His usage rate is 32% and is a testament to the fact he needs the ball in his hands. Both got a certain amount of knucklehead to their games that Thibs tends to hate too. Dyson Daniels could be up there too talent wise but his shot isn’t good, and if it doesn’t come around he is not a nba player. I do think he could be a good piece for a team in need of “connection tissue” like the Knicks. Mathurin feels like a Aaron Afflalo/Josh Hart level player which is this shallow draft a definite plus. Kendall Brown is athletically a freak but gives me Oubre vibes too. No way this FO even entertains taking a chance on Ousmane Dieng because they don’t believe in 2 years away from being 2 years away.

I say all of that to say…. They should probably identify who they like and be aggressive in getting them (aka move up) because this is a shallow draft, at 11 they might already be outside looking in on the players worth taking in the lottery. They could move down, but unlike last year. Your’re not getting a potential starter level player in the 20’s like Grimes.
