Mitchell I would be ok with if the asking price is right. 25yrs old, still fits in with the long bois with his +9" wingspan differential, and he's a dynamic backcourt scorer, which we've lacked up until Pascal started to show that later this year. Contract similar to Pascal's and runs through '24-'25.
Rudy has never had any significant injury. He does NOT rely on athleticism. He just relies on his height, Wingspan and great mobility at that size. As long as he does not add any weight: The Rudy you see now will be the same in 5 years. Always in top-shape!
The stuff highlighted in this video is why I think trading for a 29-year old Gobert and paying him 40M+ per season through '25-'26 is an absolute non-starter for me.
A 3xDPOY before hitting 30 will always get the MAX.
That Utah Jazz breakdown tape is unimportant: That's Utah, not us. The point would be fitting a 3xDPOY with our top perimeter defenders/2-way players. FVV+GTJ+OG+Pascal+Gobert beat that Mavericks team in the first round easily.
But we know getting Gobert would mean having to include one of FVV&Pascal and It is not an option. Our center needs to be able to shoot like Myles Turner
