Looking at shooting percentages, DLo is shooting 37.5% from 3 in this series which is decent but he is shooting just 25% from 2 which is absolutely abysmal. He takes those contested midrange shots often and he hasn't been hitting them so far this series

Bklyn dlo will never return anymore... He can't seem to mess playing with other star players. Esp another ball dominant guard. Rarely u see all 3 of towns/Edwards/Dlo all shooting efficiently in the same game. Dlo only looks good when the offense is ran through him and when he's outside shot is falling for him. He doesn't put any pressure on the defense by attacking the rim. I thought he did that a bit earlier in his Lakers career and during his Bklyn Nets allstar season. Don't know how he's going to earn another huge contract. He always struggles in the playoffs; and I predict he will have similar yr nxt yr shooting poorly cuz he's no longer the focal pt of the offense. I think he will sign with the Knicks or a team where he can be the man.

I can see a real situation where we trade Russell for Simmons if the Nets just want to be rid of him. Can you imagine the kind of heat we will take having KAT and Simmons on the same team? Would be a media circus lol.

Why would Brooklyn want another PG? With Irving and Curry, I don't see the move happening unless a third team is involved.

LOL good point I forgot all about Irving, I know he's all over the place but he probably wont jump ship. That said maybe they want to be off Simons so bad they decide to use Dlo at the off guard, but yea, it doesn't make much sense,

Yep. I think you're right on all counts IceManBK1. I've given Dlo all the chances I can and he's lost me I think. He can't play 3rd cookie. Dlo is signed thru 2022-23 for 31 mil. I can't see him playing for Thibs. I think I'm ready to move on. We can do better.

I've been willing to rent out space on DLo Island this season but I think I'm done with him on this roster.

Getting outplayed by a 34 year old Pat Bev and a former two way guard (who effectively benched you with his play in a do or die playoff game) just isn't good enough.

I think we'd be more than fine running Bev/JMac at the 1 spot and looking to improve at the 4 spot with someone capable of defending down low and cleaning the glass.

Time to move on from DLo IMO.

He’s a joke. If Kat cries about dlo getting traded kat needs to go as well.

What a horrific series by Dlo...hope we can find a good trade for him...

He has played himself off the team.
I don't think Lore and Arod are going to put up with that.

Amen… he can take Beasley with. Just too erratic for the NBA. At this stage guys clearly need to understand how to play winning basketball … if your shot is off so be it, but you need the heart to excel on defense (or whatever) to have a positive impact.

Maybe some possible trades for Russell could be...

Hawks for Collins/Hueter
Knicks for Randle/Toppin
Pelicans for Valanciunas/Graham
Pistons for Grant/Hayes
Rockets for Wood/Gordon

just some ideas.Any of those trades or more would upgrade this team for next year.

These are intriguing.

I’m not a D’lo hater. He had a pretty solid regular season. Would he sign a fair deal to stay long term? What would that number even be? $20M? $17/$18M? He has to make a decision and I feel like we need to decide this offseason. You would think at this stage of his career a mutual agreement could be arranged. The team has great camaraderie and he’s playing with one of his best friends, supposedly.

Are you guys interested in a fair deal for both parties?

If Dlo is on this team on a new contract, this team is doomed.

I guess here's the issue. I would be fine with DLo at 17m, but the key here is that he comes off the bench. Unfortunately that also means we have to not only coddle his ego, but make sure he is willing to take that role.

Then comes the issue of finding another starting PG who can play substantially better than DLo. How we acquire this player without trading DLos current contract is beyond me.

Honestly given all of that and the problems with each of our core players save Ant and McDaniels, this is a tough problem for our FO.

Good luck to them.

I don’t think most of these are realistic.

DLo’s value is probably more in his expiring contract than his play so, like, Collins/Huerter is a pipe dream. Maybe something like Gallinari/Bogdanovic from the Hawks?

I might, and I stress MIGHT, be interested in Randle+11 for Russell. It’s a **** ton of salary to take on but I do think Randle could help us in some areas and is probably being misused in NY (Thibs does nothing but isolate the guy on the wing like he prime Kobe, **** moron).

We should check the health status on Brogdon and ask for him and filler for this bum. See if they will take it.

I thought this also, however Brogdon is just never healthy. He misses at least 20 games a season since he's been in the league and now he's going to be on the downside of his athletic peak. Scary for me.

I'm pretty sure D'Anglo is DLo  Have you fans heard of any teams that might be a landing spot?

Wolves Expected To Pursue D'Anglo Russell Trade:

D'Angelo Russell has one season remaining on his current contract at $31.4 million and "numerous rival teams expect" the Minnesota Timberwolves to try to trade him this offseason.

Russell was benched for an extended stretch of Minnesota's Game 6 loss. Russell averaged just 12.0 points per game on 33.3 percent shooting in the series.
