Glad to see him getting some love. Been a helluva season for him. Especially in the 2nd half.

As long as he continues to have his head screwed on right, we continue to guide him the right way this kid is going to have a very bright future. Very exciting times ahead.
If u don't want 2b here, the way things work, u don't like it, then don't b here. U have 2 stand on something. If Miami ain't standing on something, they become alot of these organizations trying 2 find their identity. This is the culture, bro -Wade

I love that this is what we get from the Heat. Not a press conference, a flashy montage, or a bunch of hyperbole, but a post-training huddle.

And he won with 96 out of 100 first place votes. Seems that almost everyone agreed that Hollinger "Love deserves 6moty award' was nonsense after all.

Hollingers defamation piece didn't influence many. Though I don't really care too much about awards nominated by media members, I recognize that the players do (i.e., Bam and DPOY). Glad Herro won convincingly. Really hope it buoys him to more repeat performances of game 1 Philly.

Where was this same energy from the media for his DPOY campaign?

For a good number of voters it was about the amount of games he played. They couldn't justify him with a #1 vote because of games missed but some gave him a lower vote because he's actually good enough to be a DPOTY.

Herro deserves it but remember we are a year away from him getting a max contract and our cap space is not looking too good but he totally earned it.

Still played more than Rudy one of the years he won it. He better get his 1st next season if he stays healthy

Kyle is definitely back. Hometown kid and a chance to go up 3-0. He'll never pass this up.

If the same situation happens I'm sure he could, most voters seem to hold the 60 games played as the threshold but that particular year Embiid was his competition but Embiid only played 63 games himself, a low amount but over the threshold so voters decided that Gobert was better then Embiid and didn't think playing 7 games less was enough to say no to Gobert and yes to Embiid, it was a unique situation that let the voters feel ok going under that 60 game threshold.

Game 3 is pretty important independent of what Games 1-2 looked like. If they get hot from 3 and steal Game 3, then suddenly it's seen as a competitive series where everyone has defended home court and hte longer it goes on the higher chance Embiid can come back to save the day.

I'm confident in the Heat winning the series, but don't want it drawn out.

Winning the first 2 games means Philly has to win the next 4 out of 5 games, as long as Miami plays defense they should end this series early.
