Although reading some of the analysis here, it sounds like some posters think the game was all about who was hitting open shots and who wasn't.
Reading that Giannis started 1-10 and seeing his inefficiency the first game, I think Boston's defense has something to do with that. Giannis's usual shooting efficiency makes up for a lot of mediocre shooting by everyone else. I trust Giannis will figure it out.
The first quarter doomed the game from both Gianni and Jrue. They inexplicably tried to go iso and play hero ball for whatever reason, Boston (especially Brown) started white hot from three and the lead became insurmountable. Even despite some better adjustments after halftime (Bucks actually won the second half).
It was just really strange that the Big Two weren't really running offense despite the others going 9/12. Their ball-stopping ruined any chance of flow until it was much too late. Every time the Bucks threatened to get the lead to around 10 the Celtics would get a boneheaded turnover from them and hit some timely corner threes.
Basically it seemed like Milwaukee was content with the split and failed to come out with the same type of energy and rhythm. Boston came out flying around the court and moving the ball and played very good D.
