26 fouls on the bucks, 20 on the Celts. Celts flop all day and get calls but quote "CoNGRaTs ReFS"

Who on the Bucks draws contact though other than Giannis??

Jrue/Lopez go in slow motion and avoid contact as much as possible.

Allen/Connaughton/Matthew’s don’t drive at all.

Maybe portis?

JB basically shot as many free throws as Giannis even though Giannis took twice as many shots. Maybe the refs were just calling the fouls they saw and making their best judgement calls?

I was wrong about Horford, he looked terrible almost everytime (I saw) BOS played this season but he's been one of if not the most important player on BOS this series.

I have no issue with not calling the rip through. I have an issue of not calling it when you called it for Lopez earlier in the game

Boston also had double the free throws of the Bucks and JB shot about as many free throws as Giannis even though Giannis took twice as many shots and lives in the paint. Refs call the game they see it's not a conspiracy.

Crazy game and the Celtics have to be encouraged that they had a shot to win even with the Tatum no show. For the Bucks if they still can't hit threes even when they're at home it's going to be a serious grind to get two more wins

Yep. It was a poor call but the Celtics lost for many more reasons than that. Really poor game from Tatum, a couple misses on 3s in the last minute that would have put them up 4. Really sloppy on the last possession. It was a good game, Bucks deserved the win

There isn't a single ref in the NBA that would've gave Smart 3 fts there, not a single one.

Bingo. That call would NEVER be made. Never.

Ya'll need to let it go.

This is so pathetically wrong.

Right now he is. Players hit their primes at different times as KD is already past his prime with 2 major injuries while Giannis is in his absolute peak. We can still compare Giannis vs KD peak to peak, and their longevities once their careers are done. Let's see how long Giannis keeps himself at this peak.

It's like people can't bump up a thread from 2018 and laugh at a take of Harden being better than Butler. At that point, he was. Tiers better.

The clear cut best at being allowed to do whatever the hell he wants to do on the court is more like it. Such a reckless player. So little joy in watching him play.

He is the best player in the league, but the hot takes after one game. Giannis shot the ball horribly in the first two matchups and had 42 points off 30 shots. He hasnt had the greatest series so far, Boston has been good guarding him for the most part.

There it is. The most untrue statement on realgm. Smart is an insanely clutch free throw shooter wtf are you even talking about? lol

That makes 0 sense. Even if he misses the 2nd or 3rd free throw, they be in the same position as shooting 2 right? So how is it better?

Anyway I hate to say this but the more I watch the more this looks like a 7 game series. We threw the kitchen sink at them today, Giannis efficient 42 points, big game by Jrue, Connaughton with the Ray Allen catch and shoot, and they just kept coming back again and again, they just won't fkn break.

You can get away with one poor shooter. They need to move on from one of White/Smart, you can have both your pg’s be such poor outside shooters in todays game.

The NBA is borderline broken. Traveling, carrying, and fouls. Nothing makes any sense or is consistently called. Smart was shooting that ball. Obviously. The fact that they're down three with only a few seconds on the clock makes that clear as day. Refs are complete morons.
In any other era, that's a legitimate shooting foul. I blame players like Harden, Durant, and others for their years and years of offensive flopping, I blame the defenders for not better adapting to this shameless foul baiting when it comes to their hand placement, and I blame the refs for not making better judgements on no-calls or offensive fouls which all led to this ridiculous "rip through foul" rule.

You gotta be convincing that you're shooting in a natural motion to get a foul, not flicking it because you heard a whistle.

There was 5 seconds left in the game. He was clearly shooting.

clearly?
when is it NOT clearly shooting then ? when he's on the bench thinking about a shot?

Poor call.

Don’t try and justify it. Take the lucky play and the bad ref call.

Smart never ripped. He was in his shooting motion. He was in his motion on the catch. Ref choked. It happens.

It's amusing how he is just being able to play running back in the NBA.

But Celtics fans have no room to complain about refs, none.
