Anyone Else Tired Of Watching Doncic Hit The Floor Flopping?

Post#1 » by OrangeBlueSkies » Sun May 8, 2022 8:50 pm

He literally just flopped all over the court in the first half, “ let me not land of my feet and get a foul call”, it’s actually ruining this game for me …

Yes I know CP is the master of these things, but come on Luka does it every possession.

Edit: postgame

Brad Townsend: Doncic said that on the play at the end of the half when he drew Paul’s fourth foul, Paul asked. “Did I push you that hard?” Doncic responded, “No, but it was a good play.” Paul: “I know.” –

I'm tired of the entire NBA flopping...
CP3...Booker....Embiid...Harden..
most of the Heat and Celtics.

Hell, even as a Bucks fan I get irritated watching Middleton flop. It gets annoying...nobody can play defense anymore. Nobody wants to block a shot, just take a charge. Most players are looking to create a foul instead of making a shot.

Case in point...yesterday Jaylen Brown blew by Jrue. Jrue was behind him, he had a free shot.....instead he backed up into Jrue and flopped. If he just goes straight up, it's an easy two points. Too much flopping on both ends of the court.

I don't think I've seen a player in the NBA not flop. They all do it. It's whatever.

No, but Im tired by weak foul calls. 20 years ago NBA was physical league compared to Euro, now its completely flipped on its head, can't fight for boards or do anything on D sometimes, no contact allowed.

Every team does it especially the "stars"

No sense in singling out one player over another because frankly its an epidemic in the NBA

Ya its beyond annoying. Every other level of the game guys rarely are on the floor. You dont see it in college, you dont see it in international ball, go down at your local court and you wont see anyone on the floor.

Truly amazing how easily 6'+ world class athletes get knocked over...

There's gotta be someone out there who can sit down for a couple hours and just count the amount of times someone falls to the ground in a playoff game today versus a couple early 90s playoff games. I'd be so curious to see the #s but not enough to do it myself

In my opinion they should just do less calls. Just because a player falls down does not mean they need to call a foul.

I'm waiting till we get a Game 7 in one of these series to see how the refs will handle it because this level of gamesmanship is awful.

I don't like it but you can blame the refs just as much as the players. In a lot of cases if you don't hit the floor you don't get the call.

The same level of contact is or isn't a foul based on how much the player flops, basically.

So It goes both ways and in many cases it's the smart basketball play, unfortunately.

I agree that every player does it as specific times....the problem is some do it as their go to offensive and/or defensive move.

I think it is sad, because he is hell of a player. If he just plays without flopping he is good enough to win.

His whining is more irritating than his flopping. Shut up and dribble.
