somethingh i didnt know about was that garnett faced against hakeem in 97, it was of course out of either player prime, but is cool nonetheless than they got to play a series vs each other
what other interesting series of some kind that rarely are mentioned or remembered?

Michael Jordan played against Bill Walton in the 1986 playoffs

In the 2008 playoffs Chris Paul played against Jason Kidd, who he's now facing in the 2022 playoffs but on slightly different terms

CP3 also played against Ime Udoka that postseason. The following postseason he went against Chauncey Billups. Derrick Fisher after that. Not to mention series vs Juwan Howard, Malik Allen and Caron Butler
tl/dr: Chris Paul has played against a lot of current/former NBA head and assistant coaches

Dirk and Nash's first playoff series was against Stockton and Malone at the tail end of their run. Kind of a passing of the PNR torch.

That's actually not true, Hondo had his last playoffs in 1977, but he played another season in 1978.

Barkley v KG in 97, opposite ends of careers.
Could've been Ewing v Duncan in finals 99.
Kareem v Olajuwon 86.
