I guess now NBA players have to worry about their families on the sideline.

Good job NBA!

So let’s say you’re commissioner for today. What’s your solution?

Depending on your risk tolerance there are several options. You’d obviously consult the security team, NBAPA and other relevant experts. No definate need for a change but acting like it’s some pie in the sky impossibility is too much.

Good answer. How about specific secure box seating for families as well?

Damn. I wonder if cp3 will really see him later! The kids mom seemed more scared than the kid. Pathetic.

I'd take good care of the mom/aunt if she is scared

No, just stop. Family members of players come to games all the time, this is not new. This is on the fan. That kid needs to grow up, period.

Glad to see that the degradation of our society the last few years isn’t limited to America! What a shameful take. You should be embarrassed

Ok, you tell me. Who's at fault here? Who answers to CP3's wife? You know there will be **** among the fans. The **** are ****, that's a constant. They are always there. You can't change them. The only way this could be avoided was if CP3 didn't bring his family there. Sure the fault is with the ****, but you can't change him. You knew something like that would happen. The only way this could be avoided was if CP3 didn't bring his family there.

For example, I wouldn't bring my kids to a college spring break party. If something happened to them, sure the students would be at fault, but I would be the idiot for bringing them there and endangering them.

Cool. You are going to double down.

It's the same thing with car accidents. If you keep insisting on your "right of way", like many people do, you might get in the accident. Just let the morons be... I would never bring my family to a place where they could get insulted. Many accidents can be avoided in such a way. ..

In other words, you're saying it's ok to be assaulted if you're a fan or family of the away team. Sheesh. Talk about the scum of the earth showing their true colors after this incident.

This story just keep getting better. This **** kid was harassing Paul's mother so much that she actually left.

Then Paul's aunt had to start chatting up that kid's aunt. What an absolute **** disgrace for the NBA.

Yea, well, he'll survive. Seems like the lady was the aunt, but I hope she was at least reprimanding him unless it's one of those situations where the person feels powerless because it's not their kid and just sits there.

Yea, generally as a society the goal is to weed out those people and make sure they don't feel safe behaving like they are, not blaming victims for the acts committed against them.

If you didn't dress this way. If you didn't go to that club. If you didn't drink so much, it can go on. Yes, we should make good decisions, but there are levels, saying players shouldn't have their family at away games because opposing fans might physically touch them, that's not an option. It should be clear to anyone coming that you shouldn't do that, and Dallas will likely respond to this in a way that makes that clear.

I didn't say that you moron. Learn to read.
I said that this could be avoided by CP3.

What if someone threw a bottle on CP3's kidd (I'm not sure he had a kidd there)? And what if the bottle would break? And the kidd would bleed from his head? Do you think his wife wouldn't blame CP3 for that? For his entire life? Sure, some terrible being threw that bottle, but CP3 didn't had to put his family in this position.

Unless it's just very common in the USA that family attends away games in the playoffs. To me, being from the Balkans, is just unimaginable.

That play didn't get talked about enough, because everyone focussed on Ayton. What Crowder did should be a flagrant, should it not? He litterally threw Luka violently on the ground. I'm not sure why no one reacted to that and acted like it didn't happen. It's weird.

Even Ayton does a side bump into Luka that negates the idea that this should be an offensive foul.

I don’t see how Jaxson Hayes shove of Crowder was much worse than this. And Hayes got a flagrant 2 ejection for that,

But this is a no call?

It just further demonstrates that the entire flagrant/review process is stupid.

It should never result in an ejection unless it is completely undeniably terrible or a 2nd technical, like it used to be.

Because they're vastly different plays?

I get people hate Jae, and seems Suns don't have many fans outside of AZ. But saying those two plays are similar is a joke.

Jae probably should get a foul there. Flagrant is ridiculous

"Probably should be a foul?"

Your bias is a bit too big to be able to be objective I see.

I guess throwing a player on the ground is a basketball play for you. This is 100% a non-basketball play and a flagrant.

So victim blaming. You're giving off "she was wearing a short skirt" vibes.

He shouldn't have to fear bring his family to an important game on mothers day because people think it's ok to behave like that's

Ok, but answer me this. Would you bring your family to the arena that I just showed you?

So where do you draw the line? You go on a highway, you're driving 100 miles per hour and you see some idiot trying to go on your line, without any proper space between the cars? Do you break or do you keep the same speed? After all, you have the right of way and we need to "weed out" the problematic people. Are you willing to risk the crash?

That is exactly what you're saying though. You're saying fans of the away teams can expect to be asaulted for rooting for a different team and it's their fault. You sound all types of stupid.

I guess the 2 cowboy hat fans in game 1 and 2 should have gotten beat up and it would have been their fault.
