Falling is the new NBA thing. Get with it op.

The video is odd, people fall in basketball, I thought it would just show falls that maybe didn't need to happen, but I mean, yea, people fall, a good amount when there's all that running and jumping.

CP3, Luka, Crowder, Payne, etc. they ALL flop.

The Suns are the kings of flopping. I think that’s a reason they may struggle in the Playoffs, when refs may stop blowing the whistle as much.
Suns were like the league's worst FT drawing team during the regular season

Unfortunately, he doesn't get calls when he doesn't flop. I know the haters will blatantly lie and say that he is always flopping, but that's just not true. We Mavs fans have been saying it for years that he has to fall down, because otherwise they just refuse to give him the calls, doesn't matter that he drives more than almost anyone in the NBA. Embiid is the best at this, and when it's the playoffs, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Well like it or not -- it is Luka's style. He has built his game around flopping and whining, so he is all in. So far, you can't really argue against this strategy. But I think it will tire and other teams and fans will get sick of it. Especially now that Brunson has started with the same crap.

Odd coming from a Suns fan.

After getting 1 personal foul, Luka today got his Tech foul for complaining this dangerous play by Crowder. Either you complain to get ejected, or show the referee the details by flopping. I don't blame him for not picking up the 2nd or not fighting back.

The one with Tatum on the fast break dunk in game 3 was strange. Dude came down holding his left wrist, which made no contact with anything anywhere.

Well… it was a really hard foul (not flagrant)… and hit hit the stanchion and then fell back with both his hands down. He easily could’ve hurt it a bit when falling. Are you saying he was faking it after that? I mean in terms of fouls that’s one of the more dangerous ones that can happen. Full speed dunk and getting hit in the air.

A lot could've went wrong there for sure. It just wasn't clear where his left wrist could've been impacted.

most of the Heat and Celtics.

Hell, even as a Bucks fan I get irritated watching Middleton flop. It gets annoying...nobody can play defense anymore. Nobody wants to block a shot, just take a charge. Most players are looking to create a foul instead of making a shot.

Case in point...yesterday Jaylen Brown blew by Jrue. Jrue was behind him, he had a free shot.....instead he backed up into Jrue and flopped. If he just goes straight up, it's an easy two points. Too much flopping on both ends of the court.

I didn't see you mention Giannis once which is really hilarious.

You have got to be the biggest homer on RealGM.

Flops/48 is a legitimate statistic and will be tracked by nba statisticians before 2025.

The same level of contact is or isn't a foul based on how much the player flops, basically.

So It goes both ways and in many cases it's the smart basketball play, unfortunately.

Exactly. Luka, Embiid and all the other guys who fall on the ground on offense are playing by the rules.

These are bad rules that need reforming but until it gets fixed you shouldn't fault them for it.

I thought they were reformed before the season started yet somehow those rules revert during the playoffs.

This is 100% about creating drama and why flopping currently dominates the game.

It's crazy that the referees didn't call a foul on Crowder for this... and then had the audacity to give Luka a technical foul for pointing out their deficiencies. With stuff like this and how they let Giannis get away with carries, travels and elbows... I think the referees should be ashamed of themselves.

Modern analytics show it's more affective to fall down than contest shots.

I think they should change offensive fouls to team fouls. Nobody wants to see the best offensive players in the game foul out because the defense spends the entire game flopping and foul baiting.

Thank you for ignoring the Booker technical for a phantom elbow. The issue right now is that teams will randomly get preferential treatment when everyone on this board just wants an evenly officiated game.

I didn't watch this full game so haven't seen the incident you're talking about yet. I want proper and consistent officiating too... not preferential treatment for any player or team. Someone posted this Luka clip, which is an egregious mistake by the referees and so I commented.

If you are going to target the above teams then at least don't be a homer. Admit that Giannis lowering his shoulder and "drawing contact" just sets him up for the usual flailing arms followed by looking to the referee for a foul.

If you want to initiate contact then go for it but don't be a bitch and look for a bailout foul every single time down the court. The NBA was posturing at the beginning of this season about how they were going to "target non-fouls" which is basically what we would see with Harden.

Yet they want to pick and choose who can do it in the playoffs. The NBA can **** off with that trash when we have seen nothing change in the playoffs. Either allow flopping or start calling offensive fouls.

In football diving gets you a yellow card yet in the NBA you get to change the entire flow of the game.

Not sure how it's homerism when I mentioned Middleton as one of the top floppers but whatever helps you sleep at night.

Giannis getting away with offensive fouls is another subject and while it does happen, teams get away with fouling him at least twice as much. Similar to Shaq in his prime.

On a side note, if Giannis ever decided to start flopping he would average 30 free throws a game.

People hate luka because he's too good and doesn't play for their team.
