2022 tatum vs 2014 paul george

i saw the paul george comparision recently for tatum and now i am wondering how i had not thought of it before

which one do you think was a more impactful player ?

It's a good question who's better on defense... When added to offense it's definitely Tatum.

I see it otherwise, in fact. I'd say peak Paul George is his 2019 OKC version (but of course there are arguments for other years, especially 2014, 2016), and he was a better offensive player than Tatum (albeit probably worse defensively at that point).

19 George was a rare simultaneous two-way peak.

He blew up every impact metric that season. It rated as like a prime KG kind of year by most metrics.


As far as 22 vs 14, I feel Tatum is just too ahead as a passer compared to that version of George.

Raw scoring, and defense I actually prefer Paul George. But Tatum has unlocked some things offensively through his vision PG didn’t.
