Round 2, Game 5 - Bucks at Celtics - 5/11/22 - 6:00 - TNT

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Tue May 10, 2022 12:37 pm

We've played a couple of stinkers and we sure could use Khris but at the end of the day it's still 2-2. We're 9-7 on the road in the playoffs the last 2 years and this team is nothing if not resilient. So I'm keeping the faith.

BUCKS IN 6!
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The way I look at it is we played them equally over 4 games with 36 year-old Horford shooting 50% on 7 3s a game, Jrue playing amazingly bad on offense, and Giannis being consistent. I think we are more likely to sustain what we are doing or improving. We just need either Jrue or Midds to show up one game with Giannis taking over the other. Problem is I don't know if its more likely of having Midds play or Jrue not playing Bledsoe level offense

This team has dug itself out of some tough spots before when the majority of this board thought it was game over. 2-2 series heading into Game 5 is not the time to give up. Clean some stuff up and get ready to punch back after you get punched. It's going to be tough as hell but we're still right there.

And I hope that pivot is 180, not 360.

I have a lot of questions. Who wants it more? How fraudulently tough are don't-touch-me Jaylen Brown, Grant Williams the hip-checker, and let's-play-Twister Marcus Smart? How many times can they pantomime "I just got hit in the face" before an official notices they didn't?

Crush these chowdah heads. 120-104.

Truly insane how we can't get one outlier shooting game in our favor.

Hate to be team pessimist, but I think Boston unlocked Smart and Horford and to a smaller extent, White, and will blow us out the next two games by 10-15 pts.

I personally think we're headed for a Game 7. Expecting Boston to win Game 5 somewhat comfortably and for us to pull out Game 6 with our backs against the wall.

searching for ways they're going to figure this out. Not going to lie my confidence took a little hit last night. Of course a convincing win tomorrow could change all that. Can't figure out what is going on with Bobby, I have almost no faith in Jrue right now, and how much can giannis give before he crashes completely? Didn't watch any of the post game. How did our guys sound?

Perhaps it was winning the championship last year, but I don't find myself caring too much anymore. I'm still kind of shellshocked at how terrible the crowd was last night. I've been to more exciting regular season games than that. Not sure I'll give any of my money to attend anymore playoff games this year. Deer District is probably more fun than that was.

Giannis going nuclear is our only hope without Middleton.

Bucks are going to win this game, get our hopes up, get blown out in game 6 at home, and then win game 7 on a last second buzzer beater in Boston. It’s the Bucks way. Only the hard way.

The Grayson Allen game incoming. He'll pull a Jeff Green/Horford Game 5, book it.

Yeah, and I don't know how much gas we have left either. I worry we tried to charge up for the knockout punch, and it wasn't enough, and now we're vulnerable.

But then again, they should be exhausted as well.

The shooters have to actually get the ball though.

Game 1 was 4.5 so 5.5 is about right given how we've played
