Wild times we're living in when a guy like Donovan Mitchell can start dictating which teams he wants to be traded to in the same season when his new max extension kicked in

Kinda, just take a look at the Heat. We just signed Duncan and Lowry to deals this offseason and we would be crazy not to try to trade them before they get more exposed. At least Donovan is not pulling a Ben Simmons.

A true elite scorer and multiple time all star who’s only 25 to add to the roster is a better description

I have no doubt we'd be interested in Donovan Mitchell. Many of us wanted him in the draft, only for Denver to take him a pick earlier (and trade him to the Jazz).

Real question is, are we willing to give up on Herro for him? Tough call, but ultimately, Pat being Pat I think he'd do it.

I'd hope he'd do it. If Herro is having issues now, wait till next round when he's going against the Bucks or Celtic's defense.

If Herro for Mitchell is on the table I don’t think Riley would hesitate whether we win the championship this season or not. That is just a perfect mix of players for us

I’d pull the trigger but who would we have to include to get it done?

I assume Herro, Duncan and our 2022 FRP possibly gets it done. Maybe I’m overrating Herro’s value but could see that being somewhat appealing to Utah if Donovan asks out.

Herro winning 6MOY boosted his trade value imo teams will want him

You make the Herro trade for Mitchell and then figure out the rest of the pieces. Dipo may have played his way to a decent contract on another team.

Dipo still has some upside, perhaps a Derrick Rose like rebirth.

True but shouldn't overpay for a bench player thats not a natural point guard to start with the big 3

Return to Miami Heat
