I think Butler is the better player and has had a better career thus far.

Jimmy for both IMO. Better defender to me despite Pg13 getting more praise there altho with Pacers Pg then itd be more of a tossup but Jimmy has been more consistently elite on defense going from Chi to Minnesota to Philly to Miami. Freakish help instincts and better in man. Offensively Pg is theoretically a more diverse and better fit next to other high usage stars but i watched Jimmy ball out against the 19 Raptors and go toe to toe with prime Kawhi after they started putting the ball in his hands to run pick and roll after the game 1 blowout.
Ben, Tobias and Joel need the ball to so the fact they played the Raps as razor close as you could with Jimmy being their best player and lead ballhandler in playoffs tells me alot. Meanwhile Pg13 has been mediocre along Kawhi in playoffs despite that the fit should be a great one. He played way better after Kawhi got hurt so that tells me his portability isnt as good as his skillset might say on paper b/c hes streaky and just not that high level of an offball guy like a Booker. Next to Russ too Okc was expected to be a top contender since they got an All Nba top 10 player to replace Kd..........and they were bums and exposed in playoffs with Pg being horrific. Upset in b2b years as the favorite with Hca VS Utah and Portland 2 very low level playoff teams where he got clapped by Joe Ingles and then outplayed by Cj Mccollum the next year
as the focal point Id rather have Jimmy. Give him some shooters and hes basically a big man in a wings body. Pg is way too streaky and hot and cold. On his best day he might have a higher ceiling altho Jimmy has had some monster playoff games this year and in 20. But he has a really low floor too. Pg has the advantage shooting but Jimmys the better playmaker and he can always get to the cup and draw fouls to get to the line. Pg doesnt have something that reliable to go to in the halfcourt and when his shot isnt falling which happens often in playoffs we get those Pandemic P performances and it leaks into his defense too where his confidence gets shot. Jimmy is much tougher both physically and mentally IMO

Easily Butler for me. Paul George quite frankly has a major weakness in playmaking/creation. He's poor at it with terrible turnover numbers despite shooting a ton of 3's and not assisting very much. Butler's turnover economy is a huge advantage, as is his strong post game. I'd much prefer Butler's offense in basically any scenario. Defense is very close.

I also prefer Jimmy over Georgez despite lack of shooting. I am one of the few people who think that PG peaked in Indiana, not OKC.
