Since this Irving/Durant exp seem like it's not panning out. How about we literally go back in time and fix this...Trade Irving to Min and get Dlo back along with Jaden Mcdaniels and 2 1st rders. Then trade Durant to Knicks for RJ Barett, Burks, Mitchell Robinson(sign and trade)and a 1st rder?

Dlo
Brown
Barett
Simmons
Robinson

McDaniels
Burks
key additions off the bench along with 3 1st rders extracted from those trades.

Nah. I love DLo but he was pretty bad in the playoffs.

A lot of tough decisions to make soon. We obviously need to drastically improve on defense. I am taking a wait see approach with Ben.

If we are going to keep Coach Nash I hope he changes things up with his staff.

YUCK. The ceiling of this team is probably 2nd round exit. Not enough offense and plymaking. Plus the defense won't be elite enough to make up for it. We'd be looking to trade pieces for a super star the whole time

Nash is a major problem, but he’s not the only one. Marks has punted proper management of this roster ever since we signed KD, and especially after acquiring Harden. The Nets brass sold us the Philly trade being great because it added much needed depth. While I agree that it did, we should’ve never been that deprived of even solid, veteran rotational players.

This organization traded in our grit, hard work, and IQ for talent. Talent is important, but you will never win if that’s all you have.

The Nets and Barclays Center lost between $50 million and $100 million combined in the 2021-22 season, giving Tsai perhaps the worst financial losses in the NBA, sources with close knowledge of the situation told The Post.

That’s an appropriate reflection of the gulf between what we’ve expected as a fan base and what we’ve actually achieved.

I posted this in the trade forum

Harris for Holmes and Holiday. Gives you guys a starting c and backup wing. I know it would be cruel to send Joe to The Kings but business is business. I would then see if I can sign and trade Claxton for a backup for KD. Thoughts?

I like Holmes a lot but that domestic violence issue makes me take pause. He allegedly busted his son's head open?

Last year we flat out looked like we were going to wreck everyone; but we had a solid roster construction behind the big three and Kyrie got hurt. Harris, Green, Shamet, James, Griffin were all solid rotational players which helped us immensely behind the back door coaching of Udoka and Dantoni. Nets need to get two solid assistant coaches. if they are keeping Nash and get more wing size and use F'ING Blake griffin if he comes back. We could have easily beaten the Celtics but we overthought things way too much. It's a shame how we were supposed to own the league for several years and Kyrie/Harden/Nash punted all of that away. I feel like we are going back to the "Old" Nets..... God I hope not. These few years were supposed to be ours to humiliate each and every team, now we are on that end.

Wtf! I never knew the details. That is terrible and I hope it isn’t true. Those are some serious allegations. I just went to his IG and he has his son on his story but his ex filed a restraining order less than two months ago and child services would have had to get involve. So I don’t know what to believe and 9.5/10, I’m they’re guilty until proven innocent and believe the women but her story sounds fishy. Unless he posted an old video of his son on his story. So much drama.

If this story is false, do you like the trade?

All of these words and shots at Kyrie are well and good, but Marks needs to fire Nash.

Following that....

Marks said almost the right things but nothing but vague/fog-ish ropey dope to me, IMO.

First thing, yes he acknowledge the issues that certain forces brought on however you(Marks/Tsai/KD) enabled that! You condone it, you did nothing to put down the law. You started off strong with the no play, no on team approach but you caved. You got rewarded not with outstanding play or leadership but with lifeless, quitter clown show thank you from one of the clowns. 0/1

Second thing, no addressing the elephant in the room. That's your coaching staff. Nothing I can write hasn't been said before at nauseum... Nash does not deserve his current role and needs to be released and a team oriented coach needs to be established. 0/2

Third thing, bringing back the culture? the Culture was torn down with the arrival of Harden at its costs yet, Harden did play his ass off to MVP levels til the end. Even played on one hammy when Clown got hurt. Then you're saying about adding players to build on yet you **** traded away a very good potential rookie is Bey(YES I AM NOT LETTING IT GO!) for the sake of what? money? Shamet? **** SHAMET?!?!? whatever... other than Brown, who played his heart and ass out from limited skillset, the additions to the team weren't good enough. Who was making that call? you or the clowns? 0/3

Fourth thing, Ben Simmons.... .5/4.... if healthy, its supposed to look complimentary and also we brought back two firsts. so there's that positive.... however.... i dare not repeat what we already know.

Major fail to our Nets media... softball questions.... no one went at Marks or Nash.... **** unbelievable.
