That's what they say, yes, it is not how they act. They are whining at every supposed snub or disrespecting article or their fellow peers just not counting them among the best players in polls.

Sure some of them do. Stars can worry about their status but still have winning as their #1 priority. Winning is everything to these professional athletes, not status.


EDIT: Most professional athletes. Im sure there are some one-off examples (Ben Simmons), but for the most part my point stands.

Partly, sure. But everyone rates Barkley, Nash or Malone higher than a Klay Thompson or an Anthony Davis, I think we can agree on that. Just reread what you wrote. We actually mostly agree, MVP awards are a huge part, and I think Luka has a much higher chance of winning that one than Booker does.

Klay is a 2nd option (and probably 3rd best overall on a title team); ofc he wouldnt be ranked higher. And while all those guys have better careers than AD, i think there is an interesting discussion to be had about their peaks, and, ironically, it's not talent where they would win, but in ability to lead a team themselves in some sort of winning fashion even if it's not a title.

If Booker wins multiple titles as his teams best player or FMVP (depending on how you feel about Paul) and Luka goes titleless, ya, i think Book comes out ahead.

Been saying it all playoffs: If you spend more than 10 seconds on the ground, automatic pulled from game for 10 minutes to be checked by trainers.
If boxers only get 10 seconds after being hit in the face, these guys can get up within 10 secs too. Them constantly trying to game the system is annoying.

You mean the kid who had a yoga instructor as a coach in Earl Watson and horrible teammates like Dragan Bender, Tyler Ulis, Josh Jackson, Marquese Chriss, Tyson Chandlers corpse, Ryan Andersons corpse, washed up Ariza, Isaiah Canaan, Brandon Knight, etc?

As underwhelming as Lukas current teammates are he never had to deal with anything remotely close to what Booker dealt with his first 4 years. You're not ready for that argument though. Heck, Marquese Chriss can't even get PT in that underwhelming Dallas rotation. That tells you how trash he is. Players like that is who Booker was relying on. Luka had the LUXURY of coming into the league to a great coaching staff and at least a competent team.

He wasn't complaining in this clip, so if that was what he was making fun of, he missed the target completly.

Luka is dramatic, but Booker can be too when you look at the pictures in this thread, even if Luka is indeed more hot headed. At least, you can argue that it's part of Luka's personality and not just a strategy like it is for Booker. Luka is clearly not as cool headed as guys like Booker, CP3 or Harden which is something he needs to learn to control.

Booker used to flop a ton. He has really cut back. He still complains to officials a little more than my liking but he's cut back on that too and just smiles instead sometimes.
