Chet is a 4 who you put at 5 for stretches of small ball. And his fit next to Poeltl is absolutely prefect.

Chet and Jakob would be the best rim protecting duo in the league outside Mobley and Allen.

This is a classic "Well Chet is sorta like Mobley" so lets assume he can do everything Mobley does.

Chet is 5. He may have to play some 4 his rookie year because of his weight, but his final position is 5. He can not slide his feet like Mobley can on the perimeter nearly as well. Chet is at his best at the Rim contesting shots. Mobley is at his best switching onto guards and disrupting teams pick and roll offense.

Not likely the judge would give him custody if they thought the abuse claims had merit, but without knowing more this ruling appears to be based on the technical violation by the ex. Would be good to see the opinion.

Yeah I’m really curious. It would be unethical for them to release a child into the hands of an abuser without merit. This is a pretty ugly case. If you want a good breakdown, check out Jason Anderson’s piece that just came out.

To get a 22 year old who is arguably a top 10 player I think it takes a huge 'overpay' on value...or not really an overpay, you just really have to bleed for it. Ja is the kind of guy a contender can be built around without much fuss, IMO.

Ja + Adams + Williams = $34 million

After not picking up the option on Culver the Grizzlies are at $93 million in salaries with a $122 million salary cap. So they wouldn't have to add much to make it work. Would require Anderson and Tyus capholds to be waived.

I think he'd be a great fit for the Raptors. The highest we have is the MLE to use. Is he gonna be worth more than the MLE?

I think he’s likely a QO guy, unless they can get Sacramento to not offer him the QO and let him be unrestricted. He certainly was very angry with Sacramento trying to “hide him” before entering free agency (in his opinion).

If Utah could clear salary I'd give him the full MLE. Mitchell + DDV is a great hypothetical pairing with DDVs defense + playmaking compliment Mitchell really well.

I need to go back over the sheet but assuming the rockets still easily get to max space next offseason I'd offer him the MLE as well unless they drop to 5 and end up with wing in the draft

hmm guess I'm lower on DDV than some other guys. I've just never really understood the hype and his game seems to have stagnated for 2 years now and obviously the major injury. IDK. I get he in theory his game is eventually what a lot of teams could use, but I'd rather go ahead and use the MLE on a veteran we already know will deliver.
