Why is Miami a better team than they were last year? Strus? PJ?

Badly need someone to take a shot at Harden in the post game presser.

Surely that ship has sailed. Do the Knicks have cap space? :D

PJ Tucker outscoring James Harden is exactly what you'd expect to happen if you only read the comments on this board.

Feel like the Heat barely played well that whole series. Philly was just so much worse.

It’s as if never getting over the hump in HOU, plus the ignominious BKN experience broke his spirit or smthing.

He should still be more effective than he is, physical decline notwithstanding.

Or once he doesn't get the superstar foul bailouts and foul baiting isn't rewarded in the play offs he's not sure what to do?

Thats been the knock on him. But idk, he seems broken to me lol.

He’s skilled enough he should be able to overcome both playoff reffing and physical decline.

He ought to be having a nice second act in his career where he’s effective as a facilitator and part-time scorer. But he looks like he doesn’t care.

Lowry has been bad.

Imagine being the team that gives Harden the max.

Hah....I heard it and filed it.... lots of talk pre-matchup like the Celtics.... Heat are the 3rd best team in the East.
They lose next round if Mil or Bos are healthy.

I do think Miami is better than they were last year but if they played the Knicks and then the Sixers last year, I think there's a good chance they make it to the ECF

Harden basically not bothering as the Sixers season was ending says so much about him. His saving grace might be that Morey loves him no matter what but I don't know how any owner and executive can watch that and want to pay him.

If you're the Sixers or the Jazz, you've got to blow things up. Your core just isn't working as far as being a title contender.

Really like Morey, but he let emotions get the best of him in that Harden deal. Have to feel Vivek would have gladly sent them Haliburton for Ben Simmons at about 10 different points last season.

And now the Sixers are left with a fat superstar on the downside, who will walk unless he gets a max contract.

I was told last year that acquiring Harden was "The blueprint for winning" and I haven't stopped laughing since.

I hesitate to rip on him because he's obviously not healthy, but it has to be exhausting for Sixers fans with this Embiid injury stuff. Literally every season it's something with him. The idea of Embiid making it through 4 playoff series and holding up just seems totally impossible.

Maybe the numbers will prove me wrong, but it definitely seemed like when he was matched up with Thybulle he was struggling but Thybulle only played 12 minutes because he's such a liability on the offensive end.

Miami had the easiest road to the ECF possible. Almost all their games were blowouts, either wins or losses and they even load managed their starters with "minor" injuries in between.

At the same time we are having a World War 3 against the Celtics without Middleton.

Both the Celtics and the Bucks are better than them but the team with the fresh legs will always have the advantage imo.

Butler is actually stupidly locked in this year. No idea if sustainable but he has been on fire from midrange and beyond.

Damn, I wish for once we'd finish our series first and get a couple of extra days rest.
