And Embiid in a D'Antoni run-and-gun offense? He's going to need major cardio exercise this offseason if that happens!

Fire the GM. (Wont Happen)
Fire the Coach. (Wont Happen)
Performed as Expected.
Treadmill Team.

Paying Harden $47 million next year when he exercises his player option is tough.

Given that it would be a contract year for Harden, you might just see a little bit of a resurgence from him in 22/23 as he looks to secure the bag one last time. Don't be fooled though, even if 22/23 is an up year for Harden, it's all downhill from there.

My gut tells me that Harden plays in Philly next year and signs elsewhere as a free agent in 2023.

How they handle the Harden situation will dictate their next few years.

I wouldn’t pay Harden. Need to have Maxey be lead guard. Get a complementary 2 guard for him.

I’m good with Simmons on the team- good 4 next to Embiid.

They really need a complimentary 2 guard and a primary defender at SF. Thybulle won’t cut it as he is so inept offensively.

This team needs to do a Wizards-esque trade and trade Harris for 2-3 rotational pieces. They are 4 deep, once they go to the bench it's a wrap. The issue isn't keeping 2 of Harris/Maxey/Embiid/Harden on the floor at all times, its the fact that they got 3 other players on the floor that are fringe NBA players at best.

Outside of Phil Jackson is there a coach that has had more great players on his roster then Doc Rivers?

Complete fire sale imo.

They gambled and lost on roster moves. They were arguably the favorite when they had less. It's time for the league to wake up and realize that adding superstar talent isn't going to work every time. And when you mortgage your depth for said stars, make sure you're getting a positive return. Ben Simmons is more valuable than Harden at this point, given that the Sixers were much better with Seth and Drum vs Harden.

I really dislike this team, and any team that will trade away their depth for ill-advised star moves. They lose said depth, and end up a worse team for it.

Maxey should be the #1 option on offense, and use Embiid in a super-Ayton role.

Maxey just finished a playoff run where he put up 21/4/4 on 48% shooting as a 2nd year player. The potential is there.

Embiid, if focused primarily on defense and putting up 13-14 EFFICIENT shots a game, would have the Sixers be the best defense in the league. They're an extremely talent team, and it's time for Embiid to take the step back to Maxey. He'll also probably save his body (and that of his teammates) by having less opportunities to flop. If he's shooting less per game, he'll no doubt try to take more efficient shots, but it's time to groom the next star guard in the East. The Embiid experiment isn't working, he hasn't made it past the 2nd round as the #1 option, and if the Sixers don't shake up roles, it doesn't look likely next year either.

Will his ego let him take a back seat and become a more efficient (lower volume) scorer while DOMINATING on the defensive end all game?

Maxey put up those numbers as a result of playing with Embiid and Harden though. He's not good enough. Sixers actually had a better offensive rating with Maxey on the bench. The problem with Maxey is he's strictly a scorer at this point in his career and a lot of the shots he made were when he was open to wide open and/or facing single coverage. Harden needs to have the ball in his hands. He's a threat with his scoring and passing.

Trade Embid!?....dude just almost won MVP. That's crazy. You hold on to Joel and build a team somehow around him. But it starts w what to do about Harden, GM & Coach.

Listening to the presser of Morey and Doc, sounds like they’re going to stay the course with some mild retweaks.

Can’t say I disagree.

Get harden to take pride in his body as it relates to his craft and hopefully not have an Embiid without a broken f’in face and that could work.

I do hope they extend harden on something favorable for the team given his recent performance. An opt-in to a chuck year isn’t ideal for anybody.

Is he lying?.....Kobe, Jordan, Jimmy Butler and the list goes on have done this before. They need to stop being sensitive, man up and play up to their potential.

Harden so bad and now he doesn’t like Doc and they move Doc? I don’t like doc but if it’s harden or doc? Better keep doc…If I’m Philly I tell the press I don’t want him to opt in. Shame him into opting out lol

Injury or not Joel played like ****. Kobe, Jordan, Jimmy would all take accountability for themselves first and foremost. Any criticism of their teammates is to motivate them to play better not pining for past teammates and throwing them under the bus.

They should have taken Haliburton, Barnes, Hield and the pick.

For what they need now? A lot, they need to move Harris for a multi-positional wing/forward defender, and those are hard to come by. They need a lot more athleticism and 3 & D guys in addition to bench scoring.

dont understand how you keep doc after this performance... they got mauled at home, and if the heat hadnt let up like they always do would have been further embarrassed.

I would throw out there bam straight up for Joel, but Joel seems a bit of a cancer for a team, he thinks he's the second coming of Shaquille O'Neal... so I don't know

Embiid seems like a better player than bam, but his ego and the lack of athleticism and experience, in comparison to Bam... render him an eternal loser

Besides you guys may have better trades than that

It also seems to me that doc is not good enough and only will let you down again, his past was his prime and he just looks like an intelligent sell out
