Please bro. Take the L and get real with me. You're a good poster. Let's move on together--

B-Ball Paul [as they jokingly refer to him in Philly] is a foul machine. If you think he's overaggressive as a sub, he'll have 3 fouls in the 1st quarter if you start him...

He'll get as many minutes as he can stay on the court for. DJ is a PLACEHOLDER starter.

https://www.si.com/nba/76ers/news/sixers-paul-reed-earns-praise-from-doc-rivers-showing-raptors

Didn't we learn anything from the Hartenstein experiment? More skilled than Zubac but a foul machine. Ty yanked him bigtime in the play-in losses. 8 minutes total? 10? You can't trot 10-15th men out there in the NBA Playoffs for serious minutes.

I do think Doc will give Reed all the minutes he can handle. In Game 1 he yanked PLACEHOLDER starter DJ after only 4 minutes and put Reed in.

Let's watch the games and debate. Let's not debate if we haven't?

Just as I predicted. When JoJo came back, Reed got his minutes. DJ = DNP

Just as I predicted, Doc again can't do squadoosh and places the blame on everyone else and lashes out due to his inability to manage games or locker rooms.

And just as everyone else predicted, Doc won zero zip nada and blamed everyone other than himself to the bitter end, and then conned his way into another year of unearned job security with his excuses.

thinnest bench still in the playoffs and then Danny Green goes down
even the most braindead Doc haters in Negadelphia aren't blaming Doc for this one

Read on Twitter

once again nobody here is saying they actually watched the games :rofl2:

You can keep hiding behind assuming no one watched the games, that doesn't take away from the fact that Doc can't:

Handle the locker room
Take accountability
Make in game adjustments
Stagger rotations
How to handle his injury prone players while up 27 with 4 min to go

I mean, it's clear you didn't watch a single game when Doc was here with your comments....guess that's all we should be saying.

It's also funny how you try to insult Philadelphia media and fans, but want to somehow use them to back up your point. I guess the ones who want, and have wanted, Doc gone are also right? Or is it only when you think they agree with you?

Doc couldn't even do better than Vinny Del Negro with better rosters.

Hell, Mike Dunleavy got the franchise as far as Doc, while under a cheap Sterling and the corpse of Sam Cassell as his second best player.

So what, again, makes the snake oil salesman, a good coach?

Was it playing Avery Bradley non stop, over superior options, vets and rookies alike.

Was it his knee dropping for Montrezl?

Or was hit his three 3-1 chokes and umpteen 3-2 chokes?

Maybe it's the fact that he can't beat the O/U for a season at a half decent clip?

Or is it his support of despicable politicians?

Maybe it was his benching of Gortat for no reason?

Or choosing CDR and Cunningham over Jingles?

Was it when he overplayed Austin?

I'm just wondering where these great Doc moments came?

I mean, the guy is 16-31 in close out games, along with hitting the under in 15/23 seasons,

He was 3-8 in close out games with star rosters in LA and lost 7 of his last 8 close outs.

That is just abysmal. Even with Philly, he's 2-4, meaning he's 3-11 in his last 14 close outs.

For comparison:
Kidd 2-0
Budenholzer 11-3
Pop 37-16
D'Antoni 10-5
Vogel 9-5
Dunleavy 8-6
Stevens 7-6
Wilkins 17-20
Snyder 3-5
Del Negro 1-3
McMillan 1-2

It's just insane how bad Doc is in the playoffs.

Benches tend to be thin when the coach is unwilling and unable to develop young talent.

So why keep paying Glenn $8 million a year, then? The Sixers could save a lot of money by hiring one of the Wells Fargo Center janitors to be the coach. Players play the games, right?

Wait, this isn't the NFL?

Do coaches play in the NFL?

You can laugh at Dunleavy, DAntoni and Vogel all you want, but they all have a plus .500 record in close out games, and Dunleavy took the Clippers as far as Doc did with the corpse of Cassell as his second best player.

But thanks for admitting you don't watch games and you stan Doc for no reason.

D'Antoni would have to go 6-26 to match Doc's level of choking.

Vogel would have to go 7-26

Dun would need to go 8-25

There is no excusing a 16-31 record in close out games when you've had the rosters dude has had.

None.

Sorry, I thought this was the Clippers board, didn’t realize I landed in a 76-ers board
The Clipper fan understands the Book of Exodus better than anyone... what it's like to struggle 40 years in the wilderness... and Genesis.. why Cain went after Abel... So fLakers, look out... we're coming.

Moderator: And with that (correct) comment, we're closing the thread about our coach who has been gone for about two years now. An occasional comment about Doc is fine--but if people really want to keep on jawing about him on a regular basis, start a new thread which I will step in and title "All Doc, All the Time!" For now, though, let's try and let this die.
