If if if...the Bucks advance, is there an ECF tentative date schedule out there? I found one but it didn't seem conclusive to me. Finals i found but not ECF. Assume Game 1 would be Monday or Tuesday pending how Friday goes.

All depends on what happens tonight with Mia/phi. If 76ers win they play Sunday. So I would think Wednesday at the earliest if that happens.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

I'm guessing if Miami wraps it up tonight and we wrap it up Friday game 1 would be Sunday in Miami. If one or both games go to 7 most likely Tuesday or Wednesday. They will alternate days with the WCF. But let's win game 6 first.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Leaving fiserv. Rumors of shooting downtown. Not a ton of squads but decent amount and random ambulances. Overall downtown is a mess though with traffic and people

It’s a mess down there right now, with a much worse, new shooting on Water Street. Please keep any discussion here to news reporting.

If you’re a player and you hear 20 people get shot right after your home game, VERY near the arena, do you subconsciously feel pretty good about there being no more home games this year and mail it in a bit?

It’s gotta impact you in some way, right?

Hope you all made it home safe. This sounds horrific.

I’m sure it impacts them in the sense that it’s yet another sad, senseless act of violence. Outside of that I’m not sure. I think the fact that it wasn’t random and was targeted changes things.

Took my now grown kids last night, to relive all the fun we had going to games in the Bogut era when they were little. As the fans started filing out early, told them we’re staying until the final horn and getting every dollars worth.

Was a good move, because otherwise we would have been out there when the first shooting happened. As it was, we got funneled into the Maders parking lot but had to backtrack as the squads came in. Looked to me like the shootings were outside the old “Emerald City”, but no idea what really happened. I’m guessing a number of our posters were in the area of both events.

3 were in the DD right after the game. The rest were later in the evening on Water St. Fortunately no deaths and several in custody.

ETA, I can't imagine they have DD open tomorrow even if it's an afternoon game.

Pure chaos after the game. Just swaths of people
sprinting for their lives. We were watching the action from Fiserv. Good ol US of A. I’ve become numb to it.

At this point just assume everyone you see is strapped. I used to be the worst version of myself behind the wheel. Now I don’t say boo when I encounter a terrible driver. Because I don’t want to die.

That's really your take on this? Wow.

Also, do you think shootings only happen in Wisconsin? It's a daily ritual in our country.

Happy that everyone is alive. Hope they keep the DD open. Don't let fear win. Increase security? I guess it's a necessity, until further actions are made.

Obvious I have other takes on this, but it’s a basketball board and I was keeping it directly applicable to basketball.

Appreciate that. It will be easy for this to get out of hand.

I get it and understand if they do cancel it, but f that in my opinion. It was the first day of summer (this seems to happen every year) and this would've happened somewhere, whether on water or on the beach or somewhere. Unfortunately, the people doing the shooting would've done it somewhere since it seemed targeted. Beef up security, be tough on anyone involved or anyone that starts fights.

None of the shootings took place in the actual Deer District (and the Bucks statement confirms this). There isn't really much you can do to stop something like this without the MPD setting up a massive security perimeter with checkpoints for every game which isn't going to happen. Bucks can only ensure the property they own is as secure as possible.

Looks like 17 people shot on Water. Up from 12 my friend who works in the hospital was aware of and texted me about at around midnight last night. Woof.

I'm numb to like 1 or 2 people being shot 5 blocks from my place, but 17? Christ.
