I reserve the right to change my mind though. Depends on if the Leafs AND Oilers BOTH win tonight hopefully!
Also UFC on tonight as well I recommend watching it.
i thought that way last night but today im here again. i dont expect a win today with ryu pitching but maybe it causes a shakeup.

Third time through the order, vs a guy who homered in the game, in Ryu’s first start off the IL. And he leaves on a high note. Would suck for him to have given up a few runs here, and ruin what was a solid start, which he hasn’t had in ages.

Everyone makes mistakes, and the front office made a real doozy in Tapia. But how much rope are we going to give this guy? He's awful.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

The trade was more about dumping Grichuk’s salary, and the prospect we got in return, I think.

The Jays did not save any money this year by trading Grichuk. They are paying Tapia 3.95 million, and paying 5.38 million of Grichuk's 9.33 million salary this year he is getting in Colorado. The Jays will save 5 million in 2023 by not bringing back Tapia, and paying only 4.33 million to Colorado. However, you cannot convince me the Jays could not move Grichuk next off-season, and still save money next year if they wanted to. I am not up to par on the Jays minor league talent, but I would give another minor league prospect the opportunity to play in the big leagues over Tapia.

Great to see Teoscar and Danny get back their hot hitting.
WTF did Charlie use Romano in a non-save situation?

The Jays offensive struggles have been a surprise to me but when you look at the injuries and who they feature it isn't so surprising. The biggest surprise has been the lack of power from Guerrero and the overall struggles of Bo Bichette.
Chapman is also much worse offensively than Semien last year.
The Tapia for Grichuk trade was actually good in theory in my opinion. Had Tapia hit something close to 273 with a decent OBP it would have been fine. As of now, it is a disaster when you factor in his poor defense. Grichuk is not a great overall loss offensively though. He would have however been hitting well at this point as he usually does early in the season which the team needed more than they thought only to fizzle out later.
To your point, one more veteran hitter would have been nice on this team.
