You think Steve Nash could have accomplished that feat with this team, even with Durant and Irving?

Sean Marks should be fired. Yeah, it's cool that he threw Kyrie under the bus yesterday because Kyrie had that coming, but the fact that Nash is still coach is inexcusable.

Tsai was the one who fired Kenny after talking to several players. -> Kyrie came out and said we don't need a coach. -> Marks after this fiasco of the season came out and threw Kyrie under the bus.

Now how it's Marks fault that Steve Trash is still here. At the end of the day it's going to be Tsai who'll make a final call right?

Mark's still didn't get contract extension or been Tsai hire. That's pretty much tells us he's on the short leash without having power to make his decision. That's without saying Tsai was the one who traded Harden to 6's. Lewis posted article detailing how Tsai had video call with Harden than went to speak with Harris. Eventually forcing Marks do the trade with Morey.

I think some have misplaced their anger after this season. If anything, we should hope Marks reclaim power and stabilize this org. KD/Kyrie and Tsai have no business managing this team, otherwise why have GM at all. GM have role just like coaches. If you keep undermining their work, sh** show like this season will keep happening.

In conclusion, fire Steve Trash and trade Syndrome creature for AD. If KD won't like it, send his ass where he wants to go and build around Ben and AD.

Unfortunately, I think you're right about Tsai. He is a Canadian citizen and he loves lacrosse. Not only is Steve Trash a very popular sports star in Canada, but Tsai, Gretzky, and Steve Trash are co-owner's of a new Las Vegas Lacrosse team. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tommybeer/2021/06/21/wayne-gretzky-steve-nash-join-joe-tsai-as-co-owners-of-las-vegas-lacrosse-team/?sh=254bb56c494b

I've been a Nets fan for over 45 years and sadly it looks like we're going to enter a Dolan era with our team. Tsai's net worth did drop from 11.6 billion last year to 8.2 billion as of last week. Tsai, sell the team so the new owner can fire Steve Trash!!

I'd do it in a heart beat. AD is made of glass and Westbrook is washed but you won't have a commitment issue.

Nope. Kyrie for LeBron and we’re square.

S.A Smith pretty much voiced what some of us said. Owners will come out with hammer this CBA. Kyrie, Ben and Harden will be face of this lockdown. It'll get ugly for players. I went as far as saying there won't be guaranteed contracts. Nothing give me vibe I'm wrong.

Nothing what Woj, Shams and talking heads on TV saying what we haven't said during this season. I'm not going to throw names out there because we know who said what. I'LL SPEAK FOR MYSELF, GO CHECK WHAT I SAID DURING SEASON ABOUT CBA->KYRIE->NIKE ETC. Only dumb as didn't see this coming.

We got several options this year. We need to make right decision. Because next CBA is around the corner.

Tsai needs to step back and let Marks do his work. Everytime he got involved we made crucial mistakes that cost us years.

Yep. The players are going to get locked out and the owners are going to take a hardline stance on contracts and availability. Ben, Kyrie and Harden are going to be the reason NBA contracts become less guaranteed.

Would something like a 3 team deal of below be plausible/possible?

Nets S&T Kyrie to the Lakers (LeBron knows how to get the best out of Kyrie and they form a very well fitting big 3 with AD.. with Kyrie providing much needed GRAVITY!)
Lakers trade Westbrook, 27' 1st, and 29' 1st to Pacers (naturally bought out)
Pacers send Malcom Brogdon and TJ Warren to Nets (Two well fitting pieces around Durant)

With a possible asset going to Pacers to sweeten the deal from the Nets as well.

IIRC, what they *actually* talked about was that KI, KD & Tsai were allegedly involved in the future coaching discussion, with some people concluding that Kenny's firing was 'all KI/KD' or that a rift grew between Marks and Kenny on top of that.

There were also reports that Kenny was on his way out anyway as 'merely a development coach,' and saw the writing on the wall with how much autonomy was handed to KD & KI, and therefore decided to walk early.

One thing I can tell you for sure-- if it really was a rock-solid affirmative that Tsai and Tsai alone fired Kenny, then such would be vastly more known and remembered amongst fans. And yet it's not.

It doesn't even make sense anyway that a guy as sensible and hands-off as Tsai would just barge in as a new owner and fire the coach on his word alone. That's just silly.

As much as I liked Kenny he had many of the same flaws as Nash... He couldn't make adjustments and refused to deviate from his gameplan.

No, it was definitely stated that Tsai went directly to the players to discuss Atkinson. The thought at the time was it was mostly Kyrie, Jordan and Dinwiddie. KD was rehabbing, but said it sounded like we lacked "Championship Habits." The main point of contention was a clearly defined pecking order, and the fact that Kenny was willing to die on the hill that Allen was better than Jordan. Kenny was obviously right.

I think Nash has been scapegoated like crazy, but getting swept in the 1st round despite having both of your stars healthy and available and having championship aspirations...yeah, coaches have been fired for a lot worse, and I think for his sake, it's probably best for him to go and grow as a coach elsewhere, like Kidd did.

I will continue to advocate for him and say that he wasn't close to our biggest issue though. The biggest issues were Kyrie and Harden, and then Kyrie and Durant coming up small when it mattered most, as per usual.

I'm legitimately down to just blow the whole thing up and trade Kyrie and Durant and start over. Bring in guys that are actually going to be available. Not guys that are made of glass like Kyrie and Durant, who are going to choke when we need them most anyway.
