Second round prospects
Last years draft was really deep. A lot of players stuck with their teams. I don’t think this year will be the same.
Alondes looks like a really fun player. If he can get his shot fixed he would be a steal in the second round.

If the Pistons still have that pick from Brooklyn, Weaver has dropped a deuce.

Kudos to any of you that can pick any dude in the 2nd round that will eventually matter to any team.

Re: Second round prospects
Usually you get some early 2nd rounders that you know will be good enough to be 8th, 9th, 10th guys on a roster because they've proven what they can do in college over multiple years, but they just don't have the same upside as the younger guys.
Jalen Brunson is a great example of that, drafted #33 after being college player of the year and 2X NBCAA champion.
Draymond Green it was clear he was going to be at least a solid bench defender and glue guy for a 2nd unit.
Livers for us last year, if he got healthy and back to normal, was pretty clear he at least has a decent chance as a solid bench role player.
Herbert Jones last year was SEC player of the year and defensive player of the year, but because he was a senior and not a big shot creator for himself he fell to pick #35.
For sure really hard to say guys outside of the top 15 picks that will be all-stars in the league though... or even good starters. I think you can avoid the all out busts by going for some of the older guys but sometimes it can also be younger guy who has the most upside but just wasn't ready for that freshman year of college.

With the 46th pick the Pistons select….honestly I couldn’t even pick a name based on anything other then familiarity and a google search.
Pick a euro stash prospect, trade it for a cap casualty, I honestly don’t know.

Probably someone that they know will be willing to sign a two way contract and spend most of the year down with the Motor City cruise.

Re: Second round prospects
Sg Marjon Beauchamp sounds like he could maybe fill Diallos role in a year or two. Or I’ll go with at Trevor Keels from Duke supposed lottery talent who hasn’t put it together who can shoot.

"Draymond Green it was clear he was going to be at least a solid bench defender and glue guy for a 2nd unit."
Actually Draymond was thought of as more of a number one scorer and offensive player when he was with the Spartans.
His defender prowess at the next level represented taking his game in a far different direction than most Spartan fans were expecting. It was a big surprise to many.
I thought he was going to be an elite scorer just as he was for Izzo, the DPOY awards were not on my radar at all.

He kinda came in the league at the "avoid tweener" types of forwards era.

Re: Second round prospects
Theres gotta be a way to jump to the early part of the 2nd round. Any chance a guy like Wendell Moore would be there?

Another guy I like in the second is Jaylin Williams. He’s been tearing up the combine so hopefully he’s still there.

First call to make if he goes undrafted. Even though we have Bey and Livers, having another shooter would be nice.

I like Livers. Hope he makes it. But whether or not he will is very much in question. He should in no way be counted as a solidified rotation member, or even a definitive roster occupant, when considering/deciding upon incoming talent.

Draft and stash. Hopefully Procida or Spagnolo, they're quite good.

Diabate or Houston from Michigan will probably still be there.
